Don't get me wrong I think the Brakeaway throttle lock is an excellent product and their customer service is great.

My issue is this. I go out to the bike the other day and find a nice chip in the paint of my tank:mad::mad::mad::mad: Having strapped my 14 year old son to a Polygraph and determined it wasn't him playing hockey or some such, I gave up and applied some touch up paint. The very next day, the bike is parked at work and I see evidence of missing paint ... WTF (why that's funny) I said.
It was then that I relaized it is the !!@@*&!!#ing Brakeaway bracket hitting the tank at full right lock on my steering.
Anyone have a Brakeaway and has had (or not had) this problem. I can't figure out what to do to stop it. Is there anyway to limit the steering?

Cheers

Haven't had a chance to look too closely yet and I'm not sure if I can get enough clearance by simply rotating the bars buy if I can I will. If not I guess risers are the answer:rolleyes:

Any recommendations on risers? Anyone have some they want to give away?:)

Thanks guys

Slightly cheaper at Cruiser Customizing. It sucks I have to spend $160 to make the throttle lock work but I suspect the side effect will be more comfort. I had risers on my VTX and it was amazing the difference they made.

Thanks again guys

"Polygraph" pour guy. Guess what you get to look forward to when you get old?

Try the risers anyway you will probably like them.

This is not meant as a joke but if you lock the handlebars on the opposite side there is no chance of it coming close to the tank........;) just turn the bars left and lock it in that position.........Im not sure but I think you can lock left or right....good luck
