Hey fellas all this talk of tuning and such does elevation ever come into play when using tune boy? I never hear about anybody talking about this , does it not come into play? does the ecm compensate for this even when the O2 sensor is blocked? I'm a new tunmeboy owner just trying to understand.
Thanks
O.

Yes, the baro sensor compensates for altitude as you ride. It's best to do a 12 minute tune if you plan on spending time at a new elevation (days/weeks). This resets ECU adaptations, so your tune will be fully compensated for the new pressure. Eliminating Lambda (O2) sensor has no effect on baro sensor. Disconnect your baro sensor and your bike will not run (runs like crap).

Thanks alot Hombre that makes sense. So if I use somebody elses tune for my r3 I should do the 12 minute tune as well?

Any time you change tunes, you should reset adaptations either by 12 minute tune or by using "reset adaptations" in TuneBoy. This will make the ECU "learn" new adaptations for new tune quicker.
