Welcome from Florida. I will tell you the biggest problem with these bikes, the chrome doesn't hold up as well as other brands. This is from my limited experience. I would not hesitate to buy another Rocket .Period. You will not regret it.

Welcome from New England.. my 2005 is going on nine years i'm still waiting for the problems to start. Nothing so far,the only gripe that i have/had issues with is the way i go threw tires and the idling recall..

Hi Douglas, where you from?
I've got an '07 and bought the wife a very low mileage '05
(guy wanted to go back to a "real" motorcycle, a harley )
anyway, no problems at all with hers and all mine were either handled by Triumph
under warranty or owner induced.
Get it, you won't be sorry and WELCOME to the forum from Oklahoma, U.S.S.A.

Welcome from Germany by way of Mississippi! Had mine 5 years and the only time maintenance has precluded my riding enjoyment is the standard fluid/filter changes...don't know too many of my HD friends who can boast the same, new or old.

Yet another Aussie welcome, I have a 2010 Roadster an have had no problems.......well the only problem was my face muscles hurt from grinning too much when I rode it.

Can't tell you much first hand about reliability, however a guy I ride with sold his old one with 80,000 miles on it, only to buy and new one. Speaks volumes to me.
Then there's the power too...

By the way, welcome from Colorado...

The Beast's faults are few; and for the most part minor. It has virtues to attone:

It has great power.
For a big bike, it handles well.
The power is very intoxicating.
While perhaps not "pretty" it has a certain massive "presence" about it.
It is very powerful and fast.
The breaks are very good; the rear one a bit too good.
It is a bit rare and you therefore have a bike unlike all the others in the lot. This has appeal.
The power is a lot of fun.
In our experience, reliability compares favorably with most any other brand.
The thing is powerful and therefore very fast.
The forums related to the Beast are full of good people with lots of good info; and finally:
The Beast's big ole motor is making great power in all rpm ranges making it a hoot to ride.

Those are all we can think of for now, except to say that the power of the bike really cannot be overstated.

We think if you like powerful fast cruisers and you buy for yourself a Beast, you will not be disappointed.
We trudge on (powerfully).

I Feel So Welcome...

...How can I not buy the Bike! I am just getting to all the welcome posts and thanks very much for the encourgement. I am from Alaska, origanally from NH where for many years as a kid I sat on my grandmothers porch, front row on Weirs beach in Laconia for bike week. I am 55 and have a sister in NH a few years younger who has been a devoted rider and fan of Triumph for many years-I love the Aussies! Several years ago I had the honor to host the Mayor of Darwin and his entourage-I am 6 feet and 230 pounds and thought I knew how to drink beer-I soon found out that even the ladies from Australia have an awe-inspiring capacity for alcohol!

Tomorrow I make the leap-cant wait. Still 4 feet of snow on the ground but I am told they will gladly deliver it to my garage whereby I may sit on it and drool till the snow melts-Thanks again all for the welcome-what a wonderful website. -Douglas

Welcome from Wyoming. Get the bike, you'll love it. A Rocket is the only bike I've ever had that kept me from looking for something else. Whan I wear it out, I'll get another Rocket.

Lots of good info here. Read on.
