This is how sentencing works.
He was sentenced to three one year terms, meaning THREE years. Then the three years were ordered to be served concurrently, meaning ONE year. Then it was reduced to three MONTHS. Then that sentence was suspended, which means he doesn't have to serve it at all!
He still has a three month sentence hanging over his head but he would have to screw up in a BIG way for it ever to be imposed.
This is one reason why criminals don't fear punishment. And no punishment means no deterrent.

I realize, but he was convicted of a felony. For those trying to lead or start companies with other people's money, that is much worse than prison time.
To be honest, in his case (businessman, no previous criminal record) this may be an appropriate sentence since he may be able to legally earn enough money to pay back the financial part of the sentence, but I have seen this kind of sentencing applied to violent career criminals. It really makes my blood boil!
