What a nice dream, but I'd be shocked if the engine exchange were possible. Before owning an R3, I had my my own Valk.dreams of Honda putting the bike back into production but with the 4 piston boxer, 2000cc and enough HP to at least hint of the original Goldwing offer as being an around town bad boy. Funny, I dont have those dreams anymore.

If you are talking about the GL1800 then the Valkyrie you speak of is the Rune and yes the majority of the Runes engine mechanicals are identical to that of the GL1800, problem being they are relatively rare and expensive.. 8)

The 1st Valkyrie (1500) also shares the majority of mechanicals with the GL1500, they are more common but again relatively expensive as they have the reputation of being and extremely fine machine and much sort after..

Think your best bet for a replacement GL engine is from another GL either a wrecked one or cheap 2nd donor :wink:
