The sissy rack?

You could always do this:

If you fly solo, you can weld any rack you want onto the passenger seat base & use that.

I've got a Harley one on mine.

If its a replacement for the sissy bar rack, have a word with RocketUK - Pete had a larger one made up especially, to his own design.

Hope this is not to late to be useful and may even be a little premature. This is also my first post (other than my introduction), so please forgive my ignorance.

I bought an R3T a few weeks ago and the first thing I wanted was a tour-pak. I wasn't sure the OEM luggage rack would be able to handle the weight of a Scootworks Supertrunk w/backrest (approx 20lbs empty) so I contacted Mike at Wompus Racks. There was nothing for Triumph on his site, so I emailed and asked if there was anything in the works. He said I was the first to ask - then promptly located an R3T and is currently building a rack for me.

Hopefully, here are a few pics of the rack. Keep in mind that I have not received this yet, and this being the first, actual fit is still somewhat unknown. Mike has a very favorable reputation at the Kawasaki forum I visit so I have faith that this will be a quality rack with no problems. He does not think this will fit the R3 Classic, but if there's sufficient interest...... It's difficult to imagine a larger company (Cobra, Kuryakin etc) responding to my request the way Mike has.

After I get it mounted, I'll post more pics if anyone is interested.

so is it basically three pieces of steel welded together and powdercoated?

wonder if a local fabricator could make something...

here's one i got 3-4 yrs. ago that will bolt directly to rear fender AND bracket underneath (w/ some mod's). if ya ride 1 up.
