BatteryTender

Morning all.

Have had my 2020 R for the last 4 weeks and saying I am happy with it.....just does not even start to describe how pleased I am with her.

I would like to know if I could use the BMW battery tender,charging through the 12v socket?See attached pic.

My previous ride was a K1300R and I had the same battery in it for 5 years and sold it still with the original battery.Whilst I do ride often....I always connected it to the Battery Tender when parked and think that is why it lasted as long.

My concern is that there might be variations in specs like Frequency etc., needed and obviously don't want to cause any issue,especially with the amount of gizmos on this bike.

The Battery Tender has some obvious advantages,especially since I do not have to remove the saddle.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated .

As long as the tender is for 12 volt lead acid batteries, it will be fine. I keep a Battery Tender Junior on mine when parked for any length of time too. It gets plugged into the Hella/BMW/Triumph accessory socket also on my Roadster.
