Can you post some prices please? £ and $ a list of High Comp Pistons, Cams and Lock up Clutch would be helpful.
Thanks mate, just so we know.
Easier to work out a budget that way

The priceing is above.

Have done just below, but here you go again in Aust $ I don't do lbs as I cannot spend them here and the exchange varies. the XE.com currency convertor will work. Pistons range from $1025 A to $1150/set depending on compression and weight.Cams are $1050A / pair and a lock up clutch head is $1100A. OR of course you could rush into your Triumph dealer and pay $450odd for one stock piston with no rings or anything or $1050 for a complete gasket set etc etc. I'm a bit dirty on the gskt set thing currently as I have one down for some work and there is not a lot of stuff for a grand let me tell you.......

I can personally recommend Nevs stuff, all good
& those pistons are a work of art, even my tuner
(a supersport racer/mechanic for 10 yrs) was drooling over them

It's on my wish list for sure. I was a "fan" of turbocharging when this forum started, but I never got the Boost is Good connection and lost the lust for turbo before the better offers came along. I think I would really like the sound and response of an old fashioned high comp. motor with a fistful of lift! Now if my oldest just graduates on time....

H i Nev
if I buy the drop in cams, what elce do i need to do
eg - do i have to buy a tune boy ?

Nev has said in the past that regular clutch parts, Barnett or stock, are ok until go beyond 170 RWHP. From others guys performance using just the drop in cams, power output is getting close to that mark. Personally, just heavy duty clutch parts from Barnett should be fine but won't last as long. My last set of Barnett clutch stuff before going supercharged only lasted me around 12000 miles or about one season. I'll be looking for Nev's lockup clutch in a little bit here.

ROB, you're gonna need something to retune the bike after the cams. Tuneboy preferably or PCIII if going with a custom dynotune. I'm sure Nev has some Tuneboy tunes for his stuff and I'm sure other Captains will share their tunes. Won't be hard to retune but you gotta add that cost in.

Nev, far as your lockup clutch kit goes. Here's what I want to do. I have a 2005 clutch with the weaker parts. When I get your lockup pressure plate, I want to upgrade my stock lifter piece and torque bearing to the newer post-2006 parts. Has anyone done this with your lockup or do you know if it is even possible? I think it will work but am worried about it fitting into the case because the newer machines have a different clutch cover number.

My first set of Barnett clutch stuff lasted only one season PRE-supercharger. That was about 12000 miles and my power output was from 130 to 150 RWHP during that time. My second set of Barnett stuff lasted about half that during supercharger use.

90% of the wear is due to heavy acceleration, especially whomping the throttle to do wheelies and burnouts. My first set of friction plates were mostly burnt and glazed. Plates still had plenty of friction material though. I haven't gotten into my current set but from the adjustments I've made to the clutch, I think the supercharger has eaten away a lot of the friction material this time.

If you always accelerate real nice, slow and smooth your clutch will last the lifetime of the bike but who the heck rides a Rocket like that?

I am seriously thinking about a boostisgood turbo this winter... Will yeild around 200RWHP.... I think Nev has the stronger clutch springs... I think those with the stock plates should suffice.... Any opinions???
