For Sale: 2008 Triumph Rocket III Touring, 35,019 miles, excellent condition. Stock shield replaced with tall Clearview shield, no tint, replaced regulator/rectifier with Suzuki #SH847AA to lessen power demand/improve stator life expectancy, DYNOJET tuned for 127 HP and 141 ft. lbs. torque (Dyno printout, see photos), replaced stock horn with Stebel-type airhorn, nearly new Bridgestone tires, added fuse block for accessories, previous owner had the broken detent spring replaced by dealer, D&D custom exhaust pipes, USB/SAE power ports on handlebars, RamAir intake, replaced mirrors with Harley mirrors for better field of view/clarity VS stock, throttle lock at end of throttle grip(looks like Kaoku brand to me). Custom frame-mounted lift plate under rear of engine that accommodates typical two-arm bike lifts. FOBO 2 TPMS sensors installed on wheels. If reminded, I will unlock them via my phone and you can download the FOBO 2 program to your phone and, “install “ the sensors per your chosen settings for min/max alarm pressures, etc. I mounted them on T valves so you do not need to remove them to add air to your tires.
Includes original parts, horn, mirrors, regulator/rectifier (still in the original mount on bike), emissions canister, air intake plumbing, misc. nuts and bolts. I think these items will fit inside the saddlebags and can be with bike if shipped. The original windshield and mufflers would probably require separate packaging and shipment paid for by buyer unless a bike shipper will accommodate hauling them along with bike in separate boxes.
Garaged, never abused, never down, always on battery tender, clean title, two ignition keys, plus master copy key, plus two luggage rack keys, always used Mobil One 4T racing oil, 10/40, Loctite Moly Paste on shaft drive and wheel drive gears, Mobile One 75/90 gear oil in bevel box.
The bike has just about every accessory Triumph had available in 2008. Here is the youtube.com video done on this same bike by the original dealer in Virginia:
I have .pdf copies of the owner’s manual and service manual that can be put on a thumb drive or similar storage device for the buyer. Note: The left side cover has a fluted chrome rectangular trim piece. The right-side cover is missing that trim because the original cover blew off the bike during a ride by the previous owner. He bought a new cover but was unable to find the trim piece for sale anywhere. I believe the left side cover trim piece is glued on and could be removed if desired. To prevent covers from getting sucked off the bike I drilled a couple tiny holes in the inside ribbing of the covers and used vinyl-coated wire to tie them to the frame. There is enough wire slack to remove the covers and move them aside to access electronics. Seat hold down bolts replaced with ball-bearing tipped quick-release pins tethered to the seat’s passenger hold strap for quick seat removal. Seat hold down bolt at the rear replaced with a bolt with a knurled knob for easy removal.
Asking $6,000.00. Personal check or bank certified check or direct bank account transfer. Will sign over title and release for shipping when $$$ deposited in my account. EXPERIENCED BIG BIKE riders welcome to test ride with escort by me. Selling with no warranty, expressed or implied. Happy to assist a commercial bike shipper. Please PM me with questions. Thanks,
