    Rocket 3R vs Rocket 3 2018

There are many thing's to weigh in the decision. I have one of his kits and I've done thousands of miles with no issues. I have a good mechanic to do valve checks, timing chain tensioning, and the other basic stuff. My assessment is that I would do it again if the bike were to blow up today.

    Rocket 3R vs Rocket 3 2018

That's correct. Bob says he's only done some minor modifications on the 2020+ rockets and it's a real PITA. Nowhere near as easy to mod than the older ones. What Bob is saying is that even with bonkers power, the bike can still be civil during regular street riding. The guy builds drag racing...

    Rocket 3R vs Rocket 3 2018

Bob does not actually offer the entire 265hp kit anymore. With that kit you quoted, he does most of what is listed with the exception of the full radius valve job, and larger valved. He calls the newer kit "more like a 255 kit." You would cream your jeans with his lowest level kit, ask anyone...

    Rocket 3R vs Rocket 3 2018

Suntosh, The Carpenter 240hp kit does exactly that. The engine head had work done to it to where with open stacks, oxygenated gas, at sea level with a tune, it can put 240+ rear wheel horsepower down. A bunch of folks here have one of the Carpenter kits or the goodies from Neville Lush Racing...

    Built 2020 Rocket?

Carpenter offers a light build for it however, Triumph made it much harder to get into the motor than the previous generation. Bob's light build will net 200hp according to him. May be worth waiting if your fixed on a higher number.

Looking for some input from the experts

I am by no means an expert however, my experience with Carpenter goodies have been excellent. No overheating or any other problems at all. I worried about the transmission in the beginning but it's whatever. If it grenades just get it fixed. No issues. Just horrendous gas milage since I like to...

No worries Jesse! I always appreciate all input I get from y'all! Still so far so good. First snow of the year here in Colorado today....ugh. This weekend should be 70s. Dropping oil, coolant, and swapping rear diff fluid.

    Carpenter 240 Kit questions

First ride went very well. I was laughing so hard I had to let off the throttle at times one the highway. It took a few minutes if riding for it to adjust to the altitude but after that hooooolyyyyy mama she wants to fly. I didn’t even notice that the torque down low wasn’t there anymore like it...

    Carpenter 240 Kit questions

Thankfully I will be going to Lake Powell for the next two weeks so ideally I'll get back into town and the second I pull into the driveway the truck will pull up. Is that too much to ask?

    Carpenter 240 Kit questions

So they finished the dyno today and all is well! I’ve spent the last hour trying to get the video and at least a picture of the sheet up for you gents but to no avail. Keeps telling me to try again or talk to an admin. They dyno’d it in 90 degree heat and east coast humidity which I thought...

    Carpenter 240 Kit questions

I inquired about it going to Tommy for a tune however, since I live in Colorado there’s no realistic way of me getting it to Tommy after Bob works his magic and then back to me. Carpenter told me that they found a better tune for the Roadsters that will perform better than they have in the past...

    Carpenter 240 Kit questions

Those are fantastic numbers for a 210 kit. As for the exhaust, I always wear ear plugs and helmet now so I’ll see how loud it is with both of those. I’ll roll the dice on the transmission. If it starts giving me grief I’ll send it to the professionals to rework. From what I’ve read here, the...

    Carpenter 240 Kit questions

Spot on!!! More excited than before I got the bike itself! I can’t imagine that I’ll be disappointed. I’m really hoping I get the call tomorrow with the video and pictures of it plus Bob giving her a clean bill of health. That by itself will just exponentiate my excitement.
