    Exhaust flange Covers

I have the Rivco ones on my bike. I saw a brand new Rocket at the dealer that has the covers. Maybe if you put the Triumph and Rivco covers side to side there is some difference, but honestly I couldn't see any.

Installing the Triumph Auxiliary Power Socket

If you look at the service manual page 18.19, it shows this cable hanging right below the relays for the fuel pump, EMS and cooling fan. I couldn't find any reference of what that connector is for.

Installing the Triumph Auxiliary Power Socket

Hi Warp, Found the correct one. Here is what happened: When I looked thru the opening when I removed the infill panel, I saw a cable with a blue tape wrapped around it. As I pulled the wiring as much as I could off the hole and could not find anything disconnected, I tracked the other...

Installing the Triumph Auxiliary Power Socket

I need a little help with this, which was supposed to be very simple (at least according th the instructions!) I went to the left side panel where the wire for the power socket should be, and there was the wire wrapped in blue tape - great! (so far, just as described in the instructions). Now...

    Rattling/Vibration at 4000 RPM

Just filled the tank with Shell 89. Put 5.7 gallons, so the remaining 93 gas left was well diluted. Same thing. Did not noticed any difference at all on the road. That vibration still starts at around 3200 and gets really annoying at 4000. I scheduled a service at the dealer, so I'll taking the...

    Rattling/Vibration at 4000 RPM

Hello again guys, I was reading another post and then people started talking about fuel. Most of the people said to use 89 octanes. I use the 91 (or 92, whatever the premium fuel is) as recommended by the dealer guy that sold me the bike. I have to confess that was kind of confused when he...

    Help with wheels

Hello All, I saw the posting yesterday and was wondering what Cadfather would be... Now I know! :D Yesterday I brought home a 1200 sandpaper and sanded the wheel in one spot to see what would happen. The marks went away after a lot of pressure and time sanding it. Maybe 1200 is to fine...

    Help with wheels

Hi everyone! Another question here, not direclty related to the R3, but more to the wheels of my V-Max. I noticed the wheels got dark, with signs of corrosion. I tried to clean it with very fine polishing compound (Scratch X) but didn't do a thing. Then I tried 45 micron diamond paste -...

    Rattling/Vibration at 4000 RPM

That's exactly what mine does sometimes, much less now than before. The neutral light goes off. You accelerate and the gear slips out. Imagine that in the traffic light! :D

    Rattling/Vibration at 4000 RPM

Riding their demo bike is a great idea! Also Triumph's Demo Truck will stop by this dealer next month, so I would have a chance to ride another bike in case they come with some excuse about their (dealer's) demo. This dealer was recommended by a friend that has been riding all kinds of bikes...

    Rattling/Vibration at 4000 RPM

Yes, never even rode a Rocket before I get it. I just had a V-Max before this bike. Actually still have. (she's my baby! :D ) I only had myself and a friend of mine that had 10 H-D's riding this bike. I don't believe he would notice that anyway. :? The bike is now 1900 miles. The...

    Rattling/Vibration at 4000 RPM

Hi Everyone, My R3 accelerates smooth until around 4000 RPM. After that the whole bike rattles/vibrates considerably until close to red line. I'm used to my V-Max that goes smooth from idle to 9000+ red line, so I guess something might be wrong. Has anybody experienced something similar or...
