    Searchng For Hard-to-find Bolt

@TURBO200R4 I want the broader head as well. The non-flanged bolt in the picture has a 14mm head diameter and is the size the flanged head would be after grinding down. I want the wider head that is 17.8 to 18mm wide. No one makes that head size standard except in that flanged style so that will...

    Searchng For Hard-to-find Bolt

Thanks for this. I have found the flanged style in 40mm length. I am looking for one with more uniformly rounded head that is 17.8mm wide like the picture above. But sans finding one of those, the flanged style may be the only option until I can get a custom bolt made.

the evotech tail tidy, how difficult is it to fit?

Interesting, I had thought the top plate was on the other side of the plastic, and the standoff had gone through the plastic.. I will look at those pictures in the instructions again to get better oriented. I’m probably getting confused because you use the top plate as a template to mark where...

    Searchng For Hard-to-find Bolt

That’s the path I am on, but I have also reached out to a couple bolt suppliers to see if they can match or fabricate this bolt for reasonable price.

    Searchng For Hard-to-find Bolt

Thanks for the help. The head diameter measures 17.8mm or effectively 18mm. I have only found those 14mm head sizes, but the broader shoulder on these 18mm heads may be a custom order by Triumph. Even these stainless bolts from Pro Bolt are only 15mm with a 10mm head size, so I am classifying...

Where is this? I won’t be able to ride there directly without a really long ferry ride, but maybe visit someday.

    Searchng For Hard-to-find Bolt

I have the OEM luggage rack on my 2023 R3GT and seem to have lost one of the m8x40mm bolts while out riding. It is a button head with a broader flange than most bolts I can find. Everything I am finding doesn’t have as much of a flange. Wondering if anyone has a good bolt supplier that might...

For Sale SOLD - Triumph Rocket GT Passenger Backrest

I’ve been buying and selling since 2001 and watched the platform go through many iterations. Some for the better (reduced potential for fraud) and some less favorable (really expensive for independent sellers with low volume).

    Dark Side on 2022 GT?

I must know the results of this inquiry…my scientific mind is anxious this seems to have fizzled, but please let us know, for science of course. Having built a second wheel that was dark sided for my Touring and not using that second wheel very much, not sure if I will do it with my R3GT. But...

    Alternative to Factory Panniers

@monstertorch , did you have to cut off the locking pin and or file down that part of the OEM brackets? I am still waiting for mine to rrive (severe back order), so I am waiting to see. I like what you did and may go this route as well (looking at adapting C-Bow bags), but not sure what I am...

Starting over with 2022 R - best bang for 3-5k

I learned it depends on the quick shifter. If you get TSA part number A9778507 priced below $400 USD, then you need the gear change assembly for all bikes. If you get the updated TSA part number A9778833 priced at $500 USD, then it depends on your VIN number. Per the Triumph Insteuctions, VIN...

    Re-Rocketing

Welcome back, Rocketeer. As a fellow EV motorcyclist, I hear you about going back and forth depending on the ride and day. The EV helps in these hot Southern CA days, but the Rocket takes me far up the coast or more inland. Fortunately we have many EV chargers, but I can’t get too far into the...

Looking for a replacement shifter linkage

That looks like the ones still used on the 2020+. I don’t have my R3T to test it on, so may be getting up false hopes. If the ball sockets are the same, then it is easy to extend the new ones. I had to order a new one for my GT because it was bent in transit so the new ones are readily...

For Sale SOLD - Triumph Rocket GT Passenger Backrest

Sold. Had also listed this on eBay and wondering if the purchaser is a fellow rocketeer on this forum. For what it’s worth, those eBay fees are getting super steep. Almost not worth it any longer.

Outfitting for Maiden Voyage - InterState Rocket

Really like the setup and wish you well. If you get into trouble, you can just pull over and turn that huge bag into a sleeping bag and dream about Luke Skywalker surviving inside of his Tauntaun. I didn’t see it in any of your other posts and must’ve missed it. But can you comment a little bit...

    My carbon parts are here.

Thanks for the owner’s insights. I have been looking a a few suppliers, but it seems the census is converging on the CarbonFBR.

I did it! I Joined the 2.5L Club

Fortunately I didn’t buy the Zero to win any awards. It is nimble and light in a manageable package for my commute. I found with my R3 touring that as much as I enjoyed it and dialed it to me, it just was no fun riding in daily traffic. I was looking at a Triumph Trident to be a commuter, but...
