    Trouble shooting electric fan

I had my R3 Classic to the Tulsa shop a few years back for some repair covered by ‘the other guys insurance’. They told me ‘we calibrated your fuel tank level sensor’. Ok cool.... I leave, fill the tank, ride it 100 miles to the house. Tanks still full... either my mileage is wayyyyyy up, or...

    Trouble shooting electric fan

Good deal thanks! Looks like I’ll be getting to know the bike a little more, with the oil tank pull and maybe the throttle body. Pretty tight in there. Put 12v to the fan, works. Have continuity from the batt to one side of the relay, and from the fan connector to the other side of the relay...

    Trouble shooting electric fan

I’m running into asame situation. Have the tank up, reservoir off, looking for the coolant temp sensor. Read that it’s on the left side of the cylinder head up front??? Fan relay checks good, haven’t located the fan connector yet to appt 12 volts. Am I correct on the coolant sensor location...

the rocket is almost running again....sort of

There is a lot more sophisticated troubleshooting already listed here. But my first thought when I read your symptoms, did you have the throttle positioning sensor removed during the work? Is it back in the correct position? Basically when I cleaned my rear TPS on the bench to overcome the...

    Engine dresser bars

I put the Triumph model on mine awhile back. The left side and rear pannier saved the bike as I slid 50’ when an idjit came across 5 lanes and knocked me off. Put the rear guards on afterwards. They look good and I know they work in a ‘crunch’

    Top Speed

A couple years ago on my ‘06 classic, I ran it out to 130 on the speedo, thought ‘dang it’s not done! This thing will do 150!’ Thirty years ago I’d have twisted it out, these days I think more of the friction factor...

I have a confession to make.

Many moons ago the wife and I drove a 76 Pontiac trans am. Sold it off in one of a similar situation... Try and find that model today!! A few weeks back at a gas station I see a kid filling up a ‘76 TA! I go over, talk to him about it, the usual etc. Be sure and told him DON’T SELL IT.

Add me to the drop club!

I got you all beat... a few years ago, at a local rally, the HD dealer was offering demo rides. Ok, I’ll do that. Well, we’re riding two up on a new CVO monster. I get to the first stop, not even out of the parking lot yet, fiddling with the radio..... next thing you know, it’s going over! She...

    Help! I'm losing it

High speed wobble can originate from the rear. While you’re in all this, check your swing arm mounting, bushings and alignment. Ensure your rear wheel bearings are in good shape.
