I have never been a fan of the Avon's. I changed rear first and noticed a definite improvement in handling and turn in and then changed the front and even more improved handling and turn in. The front never feels twitchy or unstable whereas with the Avon's I would experience front end wobble on...- Words: 74

I agree with improvements while veering away from stock. For me, after many trials and tribulations, my favorite tire combo is Excedra Max on the rear and Michelin Commander III in 130/80/17 (except for Carpenter bike with BST carbon wheel which is 130/70/18) on the front.
