    Wow, you guys are awesome. So I don't have to worry about getting stranded because the ignition failed, but it's still inefficient and if I do the mod I will get better lighting.

    I hear ya brother! First thing my buddy said to me when I walked into work this afternoon..... "It rained!". Being that I just bought mine, I couldn't resist taking her out for a few hundred miles last week. I feel a little guilty.

    Thanks! You're in Michigan too, so you know the weather is about to get $#%tty again. When it warms up again, I will try to really get accurate info.     I've been seriously considering a driver backrest, may I ask what you went with? I see that you ride a touring, but it should be the same seat as my roadster right (if it's the solo with the pillion)?

    Thanks! Now that leads me to another question that must be common knowledge, the speedometer runs about 5mph faster than actual? ( I suspected that on my ride yesterday)

    Man, that does not seem in line with what I experienced yesterday. I never even saw 5th gear. I was cruising in 3rd at around 3.5K and 60mph. (If I remember correctly). When I got on the expressway, I hit 4th at around 75-80mph.
