  1. leatherlyke Style: S820 pictures ?

I split an inch long piece of fuel pipe and zip tied the pipe around the spring to protect the chrome where the Leatherlyke rubs. I had Easy Brackets but they make the bag heavy when you take them off.
  2. Been away on tour, rocket wont start?? Any tips?

Hi Dale, As you've found out, all the suggestions of kill switch, clutch lever in, and sidestand switch are red herrings because the starter solenoid would not click if they were the fault. Try removing and cleaning with sandpaper the two starter motor cable connections. One is at the...
  3. nylon bags to fit inside stock r3 leather bags??

Have a look at http://www.bagsforbikes.com/ They made me some good bags for my Leatherlykes.
  4. Accessory Socket

    Doesn't matter, power is constant.
  5. Got it at last

If it's a new bike - I thought I'd read that the manual is under the seat, near the battery - but if you don't know how to get to the battery... If you've bought used, like me, the owner's manual can be bought from Triumph, but the workshop manual is of more use.
  6. Hard bags from Mutazu San Leandro CA ?

I started with the GA saddlebags mounted with Easy Brackets, both shipped from the US. They were cheap, basic and small but watertight and secure - to a degree. I much prefer my Leatherlykes.
  7. Russell Day-Long Seat

Nice looking seat. 8) Are there any water drainage channels as it looks like it would hold water when it rains - or don't you have rain in CA? I have a Corbin and that holds a puddle when on the side stand. :(
  8. Poor Nigel...LONG!!

    Nicely put G-Man.
  9. Tor's length ?

Yes, they are definitely diferent lengths - I've had both on mine. You could always put one standard and one TOR on the right to make them even lengths!
  10. Engine Whine

I've had that whining - particularly when leaning the bike over at steep angles. I eventually tracked it down to her on the back!
  11. Strength of Rivco passenger boards?

Thanks for all the replies guys. Looks like the way to go. :D
  12. Strength of Rivco passenger boards?

    Thanks wiffmajig. :)
  13. Strength of Rivco passenger boards?

I'm considering fitting Rivco passenger boards with the relocation arms as my Leatherlyke bags don't leave much room for the pillion's legs and feet. Does anyone know from experience whether the boards can be stood on when mounting and dismounting the bike? The stock pegs are OK, but I wonder...
  14. Rocket Tyre Pressures? What do you run?

As per the book: 34 and 42.
  15. Helmet to Helmet Intercom?

Yep, I use Autocom too. I've not tried others. Make sure you have enough room in your helmet ear recesses to fit the speakers. Some helmets are very shallow, e.g. Schuberth S1.
  16. ECU location?

The serial number from my 2005 Keihin ECU was a 10 digit number.
  17. Hagon vs Progressive

Freaky - Good price but the trouble with Amazon.com is that they won't ship to Europe (according to their Shipping Rates) and Gnasher is in the UK.
  18. Pipe and cat combinations

Dobieman - I planned the tour and I have the GPS - he's going nowhere without me    I'm trying Owl's suggestion, last night I put the cat bypass on with two standard pipes. By leaving the top TOR on the right side the pipes are now equal length, and a decent volume...
  19. Seat Release cable problems

I do exactly the same as dunringill to get the seat off. I fitted the under tank K&N a couple of weeks ago but haven't really noticed a difference - except for the huge storage space where the old filter used to be! Oh, and remember to blank off the opening into the air box where the old...
  20. Pipe and cat combinations

Thanks owl. I suppose I should make my mate suffer for riding a kwak. Aren't the standard and TORs different lengths, and so might look a bit odd (or different) to mix them on the double side?
