You all take care of yourselves

Hope you continue to mend, Sir! Hate to see you go, or quit riding, once things get sorted. I was 68 this past January, and hope to keep going for a bit longer, myself, but I have only the one roadster to keep up with. The wife has a golf cart, so there’s always that if/when things go all to...

    Thinking about getting an R3

This! That’s why I bought my R3R. The rest of the story is hilarious, which I’ll have to tell on here some day...

    Summer ride in Florida

The summers here don’t bother me that much. In addition to riding the r3r, I bicycle, shoot IDPA weekly (outdoors) and kayak. I fish, boat and spearfish too, but, like kayaking, that’s on or in the water. I did, however, grow up down here before air conditioning. Not even the schools were...

    Ethanol free gas

Ethanol free for all my small engine stuff, plus the r3r! Ethanol gas damaged a LOT of boats around here when it first came out! That crap doesn’t have anything positive going for it, and there’s plenty of places that have ethanol free down here.

    Liners for Corbin Beetle bags?

Down here heavy duty waterproof bags are available from a variety of sources; from West Marine to Walmart. They’re made to keep things dry while boating, canoeing or kayaking; even when the boat sinks. I’d say get whatever size you like (there are many), and go for it.

Do I need a new battery?

I have over four years on my battery now with no trouble. I do put it on the tender when it’s going to get pretty cold, or when I know I won’t be able to ride for a while.

New law for passenger vehicles :/

No inspections here, but I think the registrations are up to around $40-$50 now. It varies by vehicle weight (I think), and between a car, truck, Rocket, couple of trailers, and a few boats; I have no idea anymore. The wife does all that stuff, anyway. :D

    Helmet noise

Stick a 9mm cartridge in each ear. It'll cut down on the noise, and you'll have an extra couple of rounds where no one'll think to look...
