  1. Aerocharger Rocket... to buy or not to buy

By the sounds of it you are really after some lowish speed cruising? Have you thought about playing around with gear ratios or final drive at all? You can manipulate the power response (torque if you will) enormously by shortening some ratios. Reduces load on the drivetrain too.
  2. 13 Honda GW F6B nice

I've never read the spy who came in from the cold, but it's on my list of must do's.
  3. Neville Lush Racing

    My fault, apologies.
  4. Neville Lush Racing

Sure? I received a fine in New Zealand recently, 30 over, no points.
  5. Neville Lush Racing

Yeh that's more often a sheriff thing though (one of those different titles given to power happy dickheads that aren't cops).
  6. Neville Lush Racing

Have you had the charges dropped completely?
  7. Neville Lush Racing

Seriously? got a link handy? I try to keep on top of these things.

This might seem like odd advice, but... Interstate fines such as speeding are actually one of those things that go away of you ignore them. Let me explain a bit. If you are from interstate and visit Sydney, get caught speeding and don't pay, there is nothing the authorities can do. The normal...
  9. Bad day riding

Had a couple bad rides Joey. I'm prone to claustrophobia and will only wear a full face helmet, not the best combination as I'm sure you can imagine. Normally can manage it but have had two horrendous days riding where i would find myself bordering on a panic attack and had to cut them short...

Fair enough, but the only other car like a clubman is an Ariel Atom. The only other cars really in the same league are the elise/exige. Fast small cars you refered to, most hot hatches for example, are a pain. In my experience though, the cars to really look out for are the ones with a driver...
  12. New guy

Fact is it? How many clubman cars do you see on the road in any given year? This year I've seen two. One was parked.

That's true Dave. We've got a friend who leads the group on an rs250, rest on modern supersports and sports bikes - they no slouches, knee down at will the proper way, none of this leg out at right angles business - and he could and has gone round the outside of us mid corner. Some people just...

Hanso (and others), I appreciate you spelling it out. My riding style (predominantly leant over and track work) and the riding style offered by an R3 don't really bear much resemblance. Hence that is why I said I had little to no interest in riding a power cruiser. What should be obvious from...

Firstly, allow me to differentiate "I'm not planning on having one till I'm old and lazy" from "only old and lazy people buy rockets". One was said, one wasn't, and there is nothing that connects the two. Sorry if people misunderstood. SR, thanks for your reply. I recently acquired a gpx250...

I'm sorry you're so easily offended. I didn't think Australian's were that precious. It seems other people don't have a problem so forgive me for not taking you too seriously.
  17. New guy

possibly. Would you bother riding a ****** rocket? nup, you? Seems to be quite the meth rage. Dunno, if telling people to read is all it takes to be considered insulting, then possibly. I would have thought a bunch of cruiser riders would be a bit less princess than that... If not, maybe I...
  18. New guy

Umm, read the above Hell, you could even read the OP properly. I ride and eventually I want an R3 motor. But as for a power cruiser, no, I have no interest in them. Maybe when I'm older and lazier. However, a turbo'ed vmax engine could make quite a nice 1.6L engine for a clubman too...

Not dead set on forced intake, just looks way sweet with a ram air on top. Even if it's just a couple psi on top. I can't see myself putting a blower on it without playing around with the internals a fair bit, even if I don't change the compression ratio too much. Crankshaft, conrods, pistons...
