    Thank you Rocket Scientist. I made a copy of your tool and it worked perfectly. My local Triumph shop did not have a great selection of shims, but the local Yamaha shop did.

    Every 5000 to 6000 kmts with fully synthetic, do it (and all other maintenance) myself . As others have stated, better to spend relatively small $ on oil and filters than major engine work.
