    Foot Peg snapped off

In my opinon, the peg feelers are just a way to let you know that harder parts( frame) that will not give are only a short distance away. :D It appears that you have crash bars, those will also drag(personal expericence), from there you're not far from low siding. They aren't called crash bars...

    Anyone know what this is?????

Never knew I had one, when I had the RIII

    The R3 is blowing coolant

As long as your temp reading is good I wouldn't worry. If you're having the same problems at 600 to 1000 miles then I'd take it to the dealer. This past winter I'd start my bike once a week and let it warm up only to find a quarter size drop of anti freeze under the radiator. Once the...

Any time you run your bike too lean you're taking a chance on hurting it.

Is there any remedy for this problem besides rebuilding the front brakes?

    Spongey Front Brake Lever

I've got the same problem with my front brakes on the RIII, it seems to be something that has evolved over time because it wasn't that way when I brought it home :?

    ROCKET III RIDING SCHOOL

The next time you're in the twisties put your feet on the passenger pegs, this allows the boards to collapse giving you more cornering angle. . It may be briefly uncomfortable, but it's a small price to pay for the added ground clearance. In the third photo I actually drug the crash bar

    ROCKET III RIDING SCHOOL

If you want to be able to corner tight and fast on the RIII you need ride with your feet on the passenger pegs. Just my 2 cents

Jardines & Tuneboy & Dyno, OH MY!!

Thanks Jethro, could you give me the part #'s for the K&Ns, what you used to fasten them to the throttle body, and anything else that I might need to make the conversion?

Jardines & Tuneboy & Dyno, OH MY!!

When you add the triple K&N setup do you have to remove the bearclaw, how does riding in the rain effect the setup?

    tuneboy vs power comander

Tuneboy is the way to go. It actually reprograms the ECU instead of making recalculations from the ECU signal. If tuneboy dosen't have a tune for your setup you can have a custom map made via dyno.

Tune Boy - is it worth getting for the R3?

I believe it's definitly the way to go. I just went from a bone stock RIII to Jardines and one of Wayne's tunes from tuneboy and it's a night and day difference in "Betty". I couldn't be happier, at least for the moment

    new jardines

I just had mine put on last week and the header pipe fit right on. The instructions said to use a high temp silicone sealant in place of gaskets. The chrome pieces on the other hand were a complete pain in the ass.

This setup is from MotoLight.com, they mount to the front brake caliper. I don't have this setup yet but it's the way I'm going to go. 8)

    Air ride RIII

It appears that the RIII is in mock up, I'm assuming that he's using a shop compressor and the finished product would work like any other air-ride suspension.
