    Cleaning the wheels

Ct18 Thanks Tomcat. CT18 was indeed quite caustic a few years back but apparently was updated to be pH neutral and non-caustic. It reportly used to result in dulling of metal but these days doesn't seem to have any such effect. One of our bigger accessory dealers in Sydney recommended it...

Congrats Vinnie! I've had mine for around 5 weeks now and am loving it, as does my wife. She's not convinced about the cleaning bit, but happy to watch .

Tried out a new Bonneville 900 today

Frank, That's a nice looker too and an impressive amount if work in the engine. I'm a little lucky as my wife bought both bikes for me. Might be something to do with my life insurance policy lol.

Tried out a new Bonneville 900 today

Nice Scrambler Britman, That's a lovely looking bike! Flip, I too have indulged in some upgrades on the Bonne: - Staintune pipes - Flowed head - Billet manifolds - Thruxton cam - Big bore kit (mainly for the lighter pistons) - Increased teeth on engine-side sprocket - Tuned...

Tried out a new Bonneville 900 today

This thread has struck a chord with me. I used to ride a T140 back in the day and my wife bought me a custom 2007 Bonneville for my 50th from www.Deus.com.au. A fantastic bike which I agree is great for shorter runs. I have also recently bought a Roadster for long haul runs, similar to what...

    Cleaning the wheels

I use a product called CT-18 to wash the bike. It is a non-caustic truck wash recommended by a Sydney based motorcycle accessories retailer. You dilute it as required, spray it on and rinse off with assistance of micro-fibre cloths. I've used it for some time now on my Bonneville and now on my...

Welcome to the forum Daniel. That is a very respectable stable of bikes that you've owned, so a great nod to the R3.

    Hi from west oz

Dealer says only a few hundred km, but best to take it easy at least until first service at 1,000km. I noticed the engine freeing up from around 700km. The manual has good instructions.

    Roadster on Order

G'day Hi Frank - welcome! I think you've come to the right forum. I too have a Bonneville and recently took delivery of a Phantom Black Roadster. I've upgraded the Bonnie too - big bore kit, flowed head, billet manifold, Staintune pipes, Thruxton crank - suspect similar ponies...

    Hi from west oz

South West That brings back fond memories, especially Bunbury, Collie and Brunswick Jnctn - sounds like it was a great ride, covering a lot of territory. My Roadster is still being run-in so I can't wait to get some longer rides in.

    Gooday from Snowy Mountains

Glad to see everyone is badger friendly :D The Snowies has some seriously nice riding, madder than Max, who heralds from Broken Hill. Roos, wombats, emus, fox and deer are to be avoided at all costs, although I think you could wrap the Rocket in armour plating and it wouldn't notice! Anyway...

    Hi from west oz

Welcome Rosco! I grew up in Perth but now live in the east - some great riding in the South West corner. I too can't believe how good the Rocket is. An amazing piece of engineering. Badger

    Gooday from Snowy Mountains

Hi everyone, I recently bought a Roadster and found myself looking at this forum more and more due to the wealth of experience and information. Thanks! I live in the Snowy Mountains and work in Sydney, about 450km away, and wanted something good for the distance. Well, the Roadster is proving...
