    New Triumph owner

I'd say you should take it to a dealer and see if they can find the problem, your bike shouldn't buzz.

    Throttle Cables Binding?

The easiest thing to do is spray some cable lube down the cables first. Corrosion buildup can bind the cables. The procedure for removing throttle cables starts on page 11.120 of the service manual. If you don't have a manual (available on IDK's posts) we can step you thru it.

    G’day from Australia

Comparing H-D to Gen 1's yes. I agree with your premise. Comparing Gen1' to Gen 2's no. Considering only Rockets, the Gen 2 is better than the Gen 1. I put thousands of miles on my Gen 1 and it was a great bike, no question. The Gen 2 version just does things a bit better in almost every...

Rear brake pads already wore out and damaged rotor

With it spinning the drive shaft as well it won't free-wheel. If you have a set of feeler gauges see how much gap is between the pads and rotor at rest. You should be able to get a strip between pad and rotor with no pressure applied from the brake pedal.

Rear brake pads already wore out and damaged rotor

No, I don't have a part number, and looking into it a bit further nobody (yet) makes a wave rear disc rotor for the GT or R models. There are standard disc rotors available from Triumph. If you want a custom rotor cut, Co-Pilot (AI platform) has this list: Top Custom Motorcycle Brake Rotor...

Rear brake pads already wore out and damaged rotor

That is abnormal wear even for a rear brake only rider. The rear brake is activated by the foot pedal or the ABS modulator, but the modulator can't put the kind of pressure on the pads the foot pedal can, so it makes me wonder if the disc is warped or misaligned. If it were mine, I'd be...

    Lever position

Yes, you can loosen the pinch bolts and rotate the levers to whatever position you like. Just don't forget to retorque the pinch bolts.

What does this circle with lightning bolt do? 05 rocket

It's the "Thor" button. If the stars are aligned when you depress it you get a thunderclap. If the stars aren't aligned when you press it and nothing happens, you get a Thor-ass.

    Fuel Injector Cleaner

There are a couple of dump in tank brands that are good, the above, Sea Foam is my go to, but if you want to really clean the injectors thoroughly you need to pull them and use a MotionPro fuel injector cleaner with spray cleaner.

    Ft. Worth DGR 2026

I took video of the first leg of the 2026 DGR of Ft. Worth, Texas on Sunday. Kudos to my brother Patrick for editing the files to make this 6 minute clip and uploading to Youtube on his channel (Shanti's Travels): The guy on the Rocket 3 GT next to me is Agfish18 and the guy in the black vest...

    Took A Gas Bath

On our way home from the DGR ride yesterday, Tom (son-in-law) had to fill his Triumph Bobber's tank as the ride was long enough to light his warning light. We pulled into a Quik Trip and as he was filling the tank the gas nozzle stuck open and he had the same reaction, pull it out of the tank...

Anyone has Cylinder compressor reading from Rocket?

Old school engine were simple, you pulled the plugs, put in a pressure guage in the cylinder you wanted to test and then rotated the engine by hand until that cylinder was at TDC. Viola! Pressure reading. With the newer motors that doesn't necessarily work since at low RPM a compression...

Anyone has Cylinder compressor reading from Rocket?

The 2.3's ran 8:1 compression while the 2.5's run 10.8:1. What I found using Co=Pilot: If you’re asking for factory cylinder compression test pressures (e.g., PSI or kPa values for a compression gauge test), Triumph does not publish those numbers in any publicly available service documentation...

Rear Suspension Preload clicks or full turns?

It's really about static sag and how much you should have. That's measured with you on the bike. Remember you can also soften and stiffen the ride with damping adjustments, so to get the correct ride you're looking for preload is only part of the equation.

    New exhaust questions

If it's just the slip-on type of exhaust (not headers) you have to remove the remove the pinch bolt #23 from the bike to get that new gasket (#25) in. It's a bit of a PITA.
