Several reasons. Here in California shops are forbidden to override emissions restrictions and so far haven't found one willing to do so. Also, if the ECU hasn't been unlocked (except by BT Moto apparently) doesn't that mean tuning shops will also be unable to do custom tuning? Lastly, I do...
Just venting here... Its been close to a year since my last maintenance and I've ridden 8000 miles since then. I guess I'm supposed to do the annual instead of waiting the extra couple of months to finish out the 10,000 mile clock? bummer.
So is this a good option for taking one or both wheels off? In other words, will it still be stable when one wheel is removed? I'm thinking of getting a more traditional jack but taking the wheels off (for tire changes) is pretty much the only reason I would use a jack.
Could it possibly be the fact that you use premium gas? Unless you have a tune these bikes are made to run off of regular unleaded. If I fill up at a discount gas station I use mid grade but have never tried premium and have never had the issue you are reporting.
What other people paid probably isn't that informative since labor rates vary dramatically depending on part of the country and in some cases which country you are in. Here in Northern CA I would expect something in the ballpark of $700-900.
Well that sucks! How does the exhaust look? Doesn't seem right, why is your heel worse than the rest of the boot, as the heel shouldn't be any closer to the exhaust than the rest I would think.
I know, I know... just yanking your chain. When I first started riding (a 250 Ninja) I couldn't believe how bad the wind was on the highway. I seriously thought it would blow me off the bike. I quickly just learned to ignore it and don't even notice it anymore.
Mighty Mouse, I see you are...
UPDATE: Aside from getting to the bolts on the exhaust tips, the transformation was very easy as all the stainless parts from the pre storm GT bolted right on.
On the website it looks like there is a box where the original cat is located. One source said it is a resonator box, not a cat but I don't know the difference.
