    Spark plugs

Iridium plugs are over rated, imo. The only thing that they do better than std plugs is last longer. They are great if you never want to change spark plugs and end up with seized plugs, but apart from that there is no real noticeable improvement. For the exorbitant cost you will not get...

    New Brake Recall!

Had mine done, finally. I would like to give a big thank you to @brisanmotorcycles. Rapid and friendly service. It turned out that my old faithful Gearne boots blew out the sole of my left boot as I arrived. Sole just decided to peel off. With a few lengths of 1000 mile/h tape, provided by...

    R3R not R enough.

I didn't like the look of the original tail with the new seat unit, so I fabricated a CF cover for the rear subframe. It's not a pristine, glistening CF job but fit for purpose at the moment. Triumph have used an odd, in my experience, setup with their tail/brake light unit. The tail light and...

    New Brake Recall!

You have to stay onto your local Stealers, sometimes. I rang and confirmed that I was on the list, a month or so ago. Was told that there were no parts in Australia yet and that they would call me when they arrived. A post on Facebook, yesterday of an owner getting a phone call, booking in and...

    BT MOTO

Lucky for you the Piggie had eaten too many doughnuts to be bothered chasing you.

    What does this bit do?

I I found it. Immobiliser receiver. Must be where you tap your key under tail.

    What does this bit do?

Under the lhs of tail, R3R. Anyone have any idea what it does? Tip sensor? Or something similar.

CRASH BARS, ENGINE GUARDS, Carbon fiber kit for new rockets

They do look pretty flash, although it looks like they bolt to the block/sump. I would imagine that any forces that the crash bars take would be transferred, in part at least, to the mount points. I would like to see crash tested bars and resultant engine damage before I outlayed that much...

    R3R not R enough.

I test rode my new seat configuration, yesterday. It has transformed the bike. A totally different riding experience to the stock seat. Sitting upright, with those wide bars, she now feels like a Motard. The new position puts my back in a far more comfortable posture. I hit a few bumps on my...

    R3R not R enough.

Two days of fabricating and I've managed to fit a retro seat that I had floating around. Adapted seat to fit the bike, not bike to fit the seat, so it just clips off and original seat can go straight back on. It's more just to test out the riding position than an aesthetic thing, but I don't...

    New Brake Recall!

Ooops. Spoke too soon. Brisans just called back and parts aren't available in Australia yet. 🤦 Will have to wait for Triumph supply chain and they will get back to me. I won't hold my breath.

    New Brake Recall!

I checked the recall site last week and wasn't on it. (Australia). Checked again today, because of a FB post by another Aussie, and I'm on the list. Rang Brisans and booked in for next Friday. I hit them up for a loaner bike, whilst I was at it. He mumbled for a bit and then agreed. I didn't...

    R3R not R enough.

Lol. I'm under no illusions that she will ever be a Speed Triple, but do feel that my current riding position is too "Cruiser" when the corners come along. I don't want to be GSXR but feel that VFR seating position would transform the R3R experience. I've looked into the 1200 Triple RS and...

    R3R not R enough.

I don't think that I would run the clip-ons, I would probably run superbike bars, but this effort is along the lines that I am thinking. Not a fan of the tail, but a great job none the less.

    R3R not R enough.

I had to look up Dodge Tomahawk, but yes that's what the R3R feels like it wants to be when she's on full song. Hmmm those rearsets look interesting.🤔

    R3R not R enough.

I do love my R3R but I would like her to be R'er. I went for a sporty ride with the lads, yesterday. We covered some beautiful countryside and took in some great Twisties. The "Old Rd" & "Galston Gorge" (Australia). My mate and I swapped bikes for a spell. He was busting to ride the Rocket and...

    Chuqy. An Australian invention.

(Note. I have no affiliation or interests with this company. Not being paid, just very impressed and thought that I would share.) I have been playing with my bikes for 35 years. One of the things that always seems to be a pita is wheel changes. We've all been there. Sitting on your ar$e with...

Rear break master cylinder recall r3 gt

I just ran my VIN and Triumph site states that there are no safety recall notices for my vehicle. Aren't the rear master cylinders common to all of the R3's? I've certainly had the soft pedal, more than once.

    R3 Brakes pads due?

I've got 18K km and haven't even thought about pads, yet. Perhaps I should take a look at them before I hear the scrape. She is a heavy girl, after all.
