    I imagine that it's purely their marketing department being cautious. The GT and R use the same exhaust system. So, if it bolts straight to stock headers and uses stock heat shield, then I can see no reason why I wouldn't fit the R.

    Pipes can definitely change the torque curve. I messed around and put a stubby muffler on my VFR. Sounded awesome but lost all mid range, which is what the Viffer is so good at. Ended up putting stock muffler back on.

    You don't mention which bike you playing with. If it's the R3, they have unique bars which run 7/8" grips and 1 1/4" centre for mounting. Also, internal wiring. Brake and clutch mounts are 7/8". Inch bars will need a lot of mods. Not sure about the RIII.
