Crash bars, engine guards, sliders Rocket 3 R/ GT

As some may have seen, my dealer dropped my R3R last November. Damage was considerable. Footpeg scuffed, Gearshift bent, Rear axle cover scuffed, Handlebars bent, Tank dented by handlebars, Handlebar end scuffed, Clutch lever bent, and scuffs to the Final Drive (caused by grounding) and Engine...

    New Brake Recall!

It's not what you think. There were cosmetic scratches in three places that would have involved expensive parts and lots of labor. See attached. The scratches on the engine case and final drive were repaired; you can still see evidence of these repairs if you look hard. The tank dent was fixed...

    New Brake Recall!

Mine was done on Nov 18th. I didn't try it until last weekend because the dealership dropped my bike on its side while moving it around the workshop ( **** happens, they were very apologetic, and we reached a mutual understanding on making sensible repairs that keep me on the road and avoid...

    IXIL Exhaust

Thanks for the post, James. Is your bike still on the factory tune map? I'm considering this exhaust too, but don't want to mess with tuning.

For the Rocket owner who has everything.....how about some Rocket speakers?

Bell Helicopters fit this switch to all UH-1 Iroquois. Perhaps Harly and Indian could install Freebird switches. K1600 and Goldwing, suggestions are welcome.

Question about your Rocket temperature information on dash

5 Bars last weekend, OS temp was 84°F and sunny. I only heard the radiator fan a couple of times when I was directed into subdivision hell by Waze.

    Hi, Gordie from Inverness, Scotland

Welcome from Houston, TX. In my former life (the 1990s), I spent a lot of time driving/ riding around the highlands, stunning landscapes, and amazing roads. I still have my twin cuff gauntlet gloves. For those in sunny climes, these have a cuff that goes under the sleeve and another that goes...

    Rocket 3r vs Ninja H2

I never met him. He bought back his H2 from the Triumph Dealer who sold him the R3. I don't have any experience with the H2 but I can imagine they ride very differently from an R3.

    GT3 or MTS1200 V4S?

If I lived where you do, I wouldn't hesitate to own an ADV-style bike. When I lived in NW, Oregon, I had a BMW GSA and made some long trips. Most weekends, I was on logging roads that were all gravel. The bike was far more capable than I was off the pavement. Now I live in Flatlandia South East...

    Rocket 3r vs Ninja H2

My 2022 2500R came from an H2 owner who tried the Rocket and returned to the H2 after a few months.

    Been a few years....

If I'd been looking for a 1-2 up distance tourer, I would have taken a look at the BMW K1600, assuming you're going to stay in hotels. When I was young enough to camp out for week-long trips, the BMW GS1200ADV had all the room in the top box and panniers, plus the camp gear stowed across the...

Welcome from Texas, formally from London. It may be snowing now but come July, when I am facing 90% humidity in the mornings and evenings and then 98°F in the middle of the day, you'll be enjoying perfect biking weather!

    Trailered it Yet?

Thanks for all the ideas. Drive up to Wichita was a breeze. I know tomorrow will be a longer day getting back to Houston. Dealership agreed to keep the trailer secure overnight, so it’ll be ready to load first thing tomorrow. Bike looked great, I‘m a very happy new R3 owner.

    Trailered it Yet?

Has anyone come up with anything else for the bike's rear other than around the rear wheel and down to the trailer? I'm picking up my bike from Witchita, KS, Tuesday morning and trailering it back to Houston, TX. I have a U-Haul 5x9 Utility trailer with a ramp and a front chock booked.
