    2020 Rocket engine guard heat.

+1 with Rider1802. I suggested it on August 13,2020 (page 4). Rather efficient and cheap.

Options for lowering my factory GT seat

+1 It is better to replace the standard foam by a thinner one and/or add a slice of "gel".

    Shifting - recommended revs

I have installed a small tank bag at the rear of my GT. Easy to install, lock and remove.

    R3 GT 2020: oil consumption

When I discovered this oil consumption I was quite crazy. Considering that the bike is working very good and I am happy with it, despite poor shock absorber, I think oil consumption is not a huge issue today (even it is bad on a mechanical point of view). My dealership is aware from the...

    R3 GT 2020: oil consumption

Please see attached my oil consumption with is a bit higher than 1 quarter per 3 thousands miles. I never had this with any previous bike or car. (Sometimes the Rocket generates a blue smoke when I start the bike with cold engine). Asking about to Triumph through my dealership (who sold and...

R3R new colors : currently 2021 Silver Ice Cranberry Red - And future "221" for 2022

This is why I preferred to change the (black) paint of the motorcycle rather than to change the exhaust. I wanted a red one as my previous R3. And even with hydro painting it was a lot cheaper in comparison with Zard exhaust 😊.

    R3 GT 2020: oil consumption

There are a few other R3 2500 owners who have the same figures 111 cc of oil / 1000km <=> 179 cc / 1000 miles. My oil consumption was twice higher. Just add 200 cc of oil every 1000 miles as you check tire pressure too and enjoy the ride.

    R3 GT 2020: oil consumption

How many cc, or liters, did you add during these 4,200 miles including these 500 cc ?

    R3 GT 2020: oil consumption

@hogfest50 Do not try to keep oil level full. Try to stay at middle level on the stick using "Triumph method". Try to check the level every 200 miles.

    Key Fob - Spare Key

I did that all my life 😉 and rather successfully (as any man can say) But as I wrote, I am able to switch on the beast with FOB on red position.

    Key Fob - Spare Key

+1 I tested nearly one year ago the FOB (on red position) to switch on the bike, as I can do with the spare key. It worked when I pushed up the "start" switch. When I try to do it now, it does not work anymore. I just tried with the FOB (on red position) to switch on the bike pushing the "start"...

    Oil Consumption

Absolutely right, but from one dealership to another the oil added for maintenance could vary between 4.6 liters to 5.2 liters. My Dealership told me that R3 were built in Thailand starting second half of 2020.

    Oil Consumption

After 8 500 miles, I can tell that my engine is burning a bit of oil. I was very concerned, but now as the bike is running so good, I do not care. I checked oil about every 200 miles during one year. Oil consumption is close to 0.24 liters per 1 000 km ( equivalent to 0.41 quarter every 1 000...

    Key Fob

Does that mean that key fob and extra key are attached together ? If, yes, it will be too dangerous for me, knowing my ability to forget where keys are 😊

    Key Fob

Knowing that you can start the engine with the key fob switched off (working the same as the extra key), I leave the extra key at home...

    Hello I'm Fabs

I had the pleasure four years ago to spend two weeks driving all around Texas with a couple of friends. Everything was great and sometimes unusual. As for example, we had a night in a room in Big Bend park with:. no meal, no air conditioning, no fridge and no light as power supply was down. We...
