  1. Why 3 x K&N?

    Can you fit triple K&N's, remove the secondaries keep the cat and NOT do a retune ?

    Can someone explain the difference in 'feel' and performance (if there is any) in the different types of pads available? Apparently there are hard, medium and soft pads available for the Rocket :shock:

  3. Radiator ... bottom hose.

    Has anyone had to replace a split/damaged bottom hose? I was wondering if it's possible to do without removing the complete radiator? I took my radiator off last year to repair a hairline crack with Rad Weld so no real problem, but if it's been done without all that palaver I'd be a happy bunny..

    Behind the L/H side panel there is this plug I'm presuming it's an auxillary plug, but wonder who has used it, and for what? I'm fitting an autocom system to the Rocket and thought about using this as a power access as it's already fused and perfectly positioned next to where I'm...

  5. Tyre efficiency

    Is there a website anywhere that gives the 'scientific' explanation for wearing in brand new tyre. http://www.gwocgb.co.uk/documents/tgw_mc-tyres.pdf Pg 35 onward is an interesting read for any potential Darksiders.... Rolling Eyes

  6. 12 min tune .. and fuel tank

    Two for one, why waste a post... Fuel: Has anyone ever run their tank dry, and if so what mileage did they run out at? Were there any problems when refilling and re-starting? Tuning: If my UK configuration bike was re-tuned to a French configuration, would a 12 min tune restore it back...

  7. Torque settings?

    Is there a clever way of checking the torque of a nut? ie.Can you check the torque it takes to undo the nut? I have a head gasket to replace on a mini-tractor (ISEKI 1500) but don't have the cylinder head torque settings for re-assembly.... :oops:

  8. Oxford bags soft luggage

    Has anybody used Oxford soft saddlebags with a standard Rocket 3? I have a set which were excellent on my Daytona 1200, but I'm wondering if they will be OK on the Rocket? Unfortunately, I can't pre-fit and check before I pick the bike up, and I have to take them through checked-in baggage...

  9. Cam chain - 'paint tin rattle'

    I'm trying to decide on a choice for buying a good second-hand Rocket3/Classic which is proving a little tricky.... Can those who have had the cam chain problem tell me at what mileage it started, and, what year model Rocket they owned? many thanks!
