    RAA East 2020 West Virginia

Jay- Looks more likely that I will make it, but trailering behind my camper/van. I may ask the motel if they'll rent me some overnight space- probably Friday and/or Saturday night, otherwise looking for camping spots nearby. Hey, if I bring that windshield will you be able to get it home?

    The Last Motorcycle on Earth

New series on Amazon and Vimeo. Haven't seen it yet, but looks potentially interesting. Here's the trailer... https://vimeo.com/ondemand/lastmotorcycle/410735595 "The clock is ticking toward an outright ban on gasoline, motorcycles and eventually all human-driven transportation. A vintage...

    Riding with some friends today

The Snake (Hwy421) is one amazing technical stretch of perfectly maintained blacktop.

    Riding with some friends today

Devil's Triangle.... Jay, now you're rubbing it in. You know how much I like that ride. Sorry, I missed you guys this weekend. I got out with friends and ran the Rattler (near Hot Springs) and a friend led me through some new roads, any one of which could have it's own route name. We are...

    DIY Tire Change (again)

I've got those tire irons. They're the best I've come across, but my technique must not be any match for yours. I'm hoping that sliding the tire around and then on (NoMar, Mojo Bar, Max2h..... ) will be easier than levering it on those last few steps. I will try the blow dryer and have ordered...

    DIY Tire Change (again)

Paul- you're my hero. Let me know how it works out. I think you'll have to fix it to the floor or, better, higher, but if it works we'll all be following in your footsteps. Please keep us posted and thanks!

    Rear Tire

I just bought another Bridgestone Battlecruise H50 Front 140/75R-17 (67V) for $114 from Rocky Mountain. The first time I tried one it cupped badly, but it's the cheaper option right now and given the rate that I wear out tires, I'm going to give it another go. On the bike now is the Michellin...

    DIY Tire Change (again)

Maybe I've just been missing the Irish Whiskey part. Is that to be applied before, or after, attacking the rear wheel?

    DIY Tire Change (again)

Considering a couple of different manual tire changers, as yet another change will be due soon (about every 3 months/4.5k miles). I've had two rims damaged by different shops and the best of them, another place, always leaves some smaller evidence of their work on the Roadster's rear rim. Cost...

Hello! New to the forum - looking for R3 advice

Curious if you torqued the axle to spec this time? Interesting about the cush drive rubbers (I'll check those next time) and will try the Natchi C3 bearings. Be sure to let us know how it goes. I'm sometimes noticing a seemingly random click that's felt in my left foot peg- especially on...

    Another TPS Question

Glad you got the idle issue sorted out. There have been many posts on bearing issues, especially in the rear wheel. I've replace mine a couple of times, but now accept that on the rear at least one side will feel tight (it shouldn't). I must have missed @Claviger bearing recommendation and will...

    Radiator Hoses

I'll consider that recommendation in another 45- 50K miles. My hoses actually didn't look too bad at 48K when I did the rebuild, so maybe it's not only the mileage, but hotter temps that you guys have in OK compared to NC.

Jay- put me in the "maybe" category, for now. My daughter is about to close on a fixer-upper house and her Mom's new husband and I plan to spend a week swinging hammers to get it back in reasonably good shape. His schedule and the, so far, undetermined date of the closing will decide if I can...

Too bad they don't make tires.... :sneaky:

    Radiator Hoses

I probably should have asked this when I was doing my rebuild, but why do you guys like the Samco hoses so much? I got 50K miles out of the stock hoses and decided to just go stock again, since they were much less expensive. I've also heard so much about the silicone hoses leaking at first- I...
