    TuneECU - does a map....

@RichB manually fiddling with the map is way beyond my ability and I am certain that I just loaded his map. BUT, I'd wait for someone else to confirm that in case something has changed, although I seriously doubt it. Someone will be along shortly, I'm sure, to confirm that you just load his tune...

    TuneECU - does a map....

Unless something has changed since I did it you download Penner's Map to device and then upload using TuneECU and drive off smil'n. Note: Don't manually reset adaptations. Read up on this first here and elsewhere... https://www.r3owners.net/threads/tuneecu-post-settings.54521/post-833434

Question about Noise while releasing clutch / Clutch Jitter / judder / Grinding noise

Measuring the actual plate with the groove (one of 8), not the tracing..... I only have a cheap plastic caliper that will go that large and I was reading between 150 and 151mm for the outer diameter, but a more accurate tool for the size of the teeth and spaces between. If we were to go with...

    Luggage

They will pay for return shipping if you're dissatisfied. I've bought a couple of things from them and about to return one in the next few days- they sent me a postage paid label. If you pull the trigger be sure to let us know what you think. I have the stock setup, but would love to go with...

Rear brake pads already wore out and damaged rotor

As for the reason, if you're not foot heavy, I'd agree with his explanation- causing a constant pressure to be applied. Although it seems like you would feel an unusual amount of drag when rolling the bike.

Question about Noise while releasing clutch / Clutch Jitter / judder / Grinding noise

I was wondering about that too and also considered just pulling a new plate from the kit to replace that one, but given the time and effort to get there I just went with the whole enchilada.

Question about Noise while releasing clutch / Clutch Jitter / judder / Grinding noise

As far as I can tell the plates are all the same thickness, about 2.0, on the 3R/GT. There are two different inner diameter openings though. You're referring to the "three thicknesses" shown in the schematic you put up of the Thunderbird clutch parts. That whole clutch system looks different...

Question about Noise while releasing clutch / Clutch Jitter / judder / Grinding noise

Hmm- thought I could give you an easy answer, but there is a lot of discrepancy in the information. - the manual states that there are 8 identical steel plates and one with a larger internal diameter. This is what I found when replacing my clutch. It is one of the 8 plates that has the groove...

    Favor please

Perfect- thank you. It's still connected back there- thankfully. Just wanted to see if it had any special routing on the way, other than attached to the brake hose. This helps! It broke about 8" past where it goes over the radiator.

    Favor please

I had just changed my front tire and cleaned the calipers and pistons before heading out to see my daughter in Richmond, VA. Not too far from home the engine light came on, along with the traction control icon- never seen that one before. I discovered that the ABS wire had been severed- no doubt...

Anyone has Cylinder compressor reading from Rocket?

I'm sure you could- you'll see once you get to the cams. I'd try @TURBO200R4 suggestion first. They probably disable after after a revolution or two, I would think. No ones asked, so, what's going on? Why are you concerned with the compression?

I'm super jealous! I'm minutes from the Biltmore Estate near 13 on your route. Give me a shout if you want to meet up. What's your plan for this trip- mostly back roads or Interstate, camping or moteling?

    2.5 using oil

I don't think you can do it back to back like that and get an accurate reading- you'd need to wait for the bike to completely cool down for some (unknown) period of time. Oh, for the good old days of a sight window when you could check it anytime you wanted (and much more reliable).

    New exhaust questions

I had the Werkes for a while and sold it. I reused the gasket on the Werkes and then again on reinstall of the original. Take your time and be careful removing the gasket and you should be OK, but if you have time to wait for a new one to get shipped from the motherland, then that would, of...
