    Mine definitely kicks off after disconnecting the battery. I just go into bike set-up, enable it and use the clutch the first mile or so. I never consciously went through all six gears before it started working again.

    I have the Firstgear socks, pants liner, jacket liner and gloves. Use them with the remote and have never had any problems.
