Question about Noise while releasing clutch

Seen it a "million" times, but I think (memory ?) it routes up and over the filter and then points down.... Your bike is cleaner than mine

2025 rocket 3 prolonged occasional starting.

The o rings in the gear position sensor are a common cause of leaks- not enough to drip under the bike, but while it's running and it blows on the engine where it burns off slowly. It's super easy to check with a 10mm socket. https://www.r3owners.net/threads/2-5-using-oil.53395/

2025 rocket 3 prolonged occasional starting.

Mine uses oil too- no smoke or leaks, but doesn’t have that starting issue, for what it’s worth.

A well earned and deserved ride, indeed!

    Anyone grease rear needle bearing?

 Looks lovely.... On the final drive the potential "problem" is that the nuts are heavy duty locktited on and the studs will sometimes back out of the drive. I go into that in my post. If I were to do it again I would heat up those nuts first to encourage them to free up first. Either...

    Buggered Air Valve Stem

I sold my '13 Roadster, but may still have two right angle valve stems (new) on hand. I'm away from home, but can look if you want me to. You can order them from Hermy's part # is T2006615, but like most things Triumph you'll probably have to wait for them to order the parts first. Here's the...

    Anyone grease rear needle bearing?

Give it a go- first time is hardest, depending on what the bolts do.... https://www.r3owners.net/threads/lube-the-splines.49596/

    Anyone grease rear needle bearing?

I've just used auto parts store moly grease- I haven't worried about it, maybe as much as I should, as compared to greasing the final drive splines, for example. As far as the brand, Triumph bounces around with its favored lubricants. I think it changes according to business/price...

Welcome from the twisty back roads of western North Carolina. Where are you in VA? I'm often out that way.

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

Thanks for leading the way on this- makes it easier on the rest of us when we take it on. I'm past due, but keep getting warm spells here. Sounds like you've solved the jitters. Interesting that some people with relatively low miles report this issue too. Something is off in the design for...

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

Is that groove wear or machined? I could look at my replacement kit, but others will also want to know.

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

Given how sensitive mc clutches are to lubricants, I don't know that I'd use that so close to those plates- true that it would circulate in oil when used on sim buckets and camshafts (which I've done), but... Listen in to see what others think, maybe, before doing that. Maybe it's fine.

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

Remind us how many miles you have on the bike and what the caliper readings are on the plates when you get to that

    Yellow?

I'd say if you love the color go for it! Different is good and different from different is even better! One reason I ride a Rocket is that it isn't a Harley. Everyone and their brother rides the same under-performing bike with matching pickup truck and Harley sticker, T-shirt, ad nauseam....

Anyone Else Lost a Heat Shield Yet?

@rick danger is correct on the above- it isn't your bolts coming loose, although it wouldn't be a bad idea to check those from time to time. Rick, you also recommended some kind of mechanical backup to the JB Weld earlier. I had an idea that didn't work using a nut and lock washer because of...

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

I use Motul too and also did in the Roadster. I don't think that's it. Interested to see if this is what happened to yours too... The best explanation in this thread, so far, is from @TheFALCON (appears to be no longer active here) who said..... "the anti judder spring had made a deep groove...
