If it was a Works G50, skys the limit! This one I’d guess 25g - 30g. I know Warmley built G50s ( Barry Sheena’s last race bikes) go for something around there. Anyway I diverse! It’s alive It’s alive! The A65 lives first fire up this afternoon! Can’t seem to post a short video of it running.

Current opinions on 2up use of newer Rockets

It’ll require a new frame, along the lines of the R111 Tourer I’m afraid. I’m not knocking the R3, but as a two up tourer nah!

Are you going to include a backrest with the new seat?

Current opinions on 2up use of newer Rockets

Don’t if it’s of any relevance but…. A couple of years ago, I had a bit of inheritance, I and T’Wife decided to have a close look at a GT and treat ourselves. Now Madam has scoliosis of the spine and needs back support. The Thunderbird Storm we had at the time, had a bigger back pad off an HD...

    Tyre pressures

Well That’s what thought, must have shares in a tyre shop! Torquey ol’ motor on a HD, with 40 in the front it’ll not have much grip in the wet either!

    Tyre pressures

Afternoon folks, I just had an interesting conversation with an American Gentleman with reference to motorcycle tyre pressures. A bloke on a FB forum I follow was asking what tyre pressures would you advise for his bike, an HD Tour Glide I believe. This lad said 40 front and 32 Rear! I...

What’s the last thing you bought for your rocket…

Just brought some nice stainless “Pro-Bolts” for the rear mudguard support's. Next will be some Stainless bolts for the front Calipers and the Caliper mounting bolts, standard ones really starting to get daggy!

What’s the last thing you bought for your rocket…

The checks here in the U.K. cover everything and I mean everything. Even down to making sure the wheels are in line, brake efficiency tests and checking all the bearings for wear. Our tests are extremely comprehensive!

Why are people selling their Rockets?

That’s a really low mileage for a US bike that old, I’d jump at one that low.

Interesting, that inspection lasts you two years. Is that from new or after a couple of years? Here in the U.K., we have to have our bikes and cars inspected yearly once they are three years old.

What’s the last thing you bought for your rocket…

I’m of the same thought, why would companies fit them standard, if there was any chance of the box failing? The guy who asked the initial question, came back and is looking for second hand items. He is from the States, so should have more luck than us Europeans. Incidentally my Classic did come...

What’s the last thing you bought for your rocket…

On another R111/3 forum I’m on, I got a “You don’t want to do that!” comment. A bloke asked about Foot boards on a Classic, so I explained that you can get genuine Triumph items, along with the foot controls. ie Heel/Toe gear change, larger foot brake pedal etc. This bloke turns around telling...
