    Tire Mounting - Getting Somewhere

I was very uneasy watching that bar ride on the brake rotor. Also from what the dealership has told me the rear tire is much worse than the front to mount and unmount. As stated I'm the lucky guy that gets charged $50 per set but only do it about once or twice a year.

I have never done it but you remove the tank pivot bolt out and let the tank slide back towards the rear of the bike... clear the bar and then insert the bolt back in to hold the tank. Not real easy by no means but doable. You will want the tank to be almost empty.

I've been hanging around here for awhile and it seems the 2014 models has the most transmission failures. Sorry for your troubles.

At least we are getting somewhere now...LOL If you can clean everything up install new filter (I can get the wix brand part number for you) in which you don't have to get it from Triumph..new hoses and get the regulator from leaking you will be good to go. Get it all back together stick the...

Yeah you're probably right. Sorry... I forget about the new 2.5s are on here now... used to the older bikes. Guess I need to be more careful on what I say...lol

    Rear tyre

Yes Exedra. No....dimensions aren't the same. The Bridgestone is a 55 and the Metz tire that comes on the bike is a 50. However I can't feel any difference when I had Bridgestone on the rear and stock profile Metz on the front. The speedo will be off some but can be corrected using TuneECU and...

    Rear tyre

I didn't know Avon had a recall on the Chrome tire.. I'm not very impressed with Avon since I had a front tire that was out of round and had to replace it with a Metz on the fly. Now I run Michelin Commander on the front and Bridgestone on the rear. I have no complaints about the set up. It...

    Rear tyre

I realize motorcycle tires aren't cheap but I have never tried to see how maximum tire life I could achieve. This would involve me to train myself not to "get on it" and also "take it easy" in the curves. WHAT FUN WOULD THAT BE!! However being serious these bikes bike go through tires faster...

2007 Rocket III sudden illness has me baffled? Help keep my money out of stealerships pockets.

When you mentioned fuel spraying around in the tank ... did you find out what was causing this? If it is a bad hose near the fuel pump then you're not getting the correct fuel pressure at the injectors. Even if it was very low on gas in the tank I doubt it would "spray" around but I've never ran...

After awhile I still had the problem of the connectors not holding in the fuse panel. I installed a 30amp inline fuse holder and by passed the fuse panel altogether. Never had that problem again...lol Glad you're making some head way.

There should not be any fuel spraying inside the tank. You must have a hose leak at the pump or a bad pump. You most likely are having low fuel pressure since you're loosing pressure inside the tank. Either that or you don't have enough fuel in the tank to cover the pump pick up. Always have...

    Head count WV

As much as I would really like to be there with the only people I consider true friends...I just can't make it this year. I've been flipping the coin in my head on going or not for a while now as you all know. I even put in PTO at work so I could be off that week in order that no one at work...

Parasitic Drain, 2014 Rocket III Touring - Mystery: Multimeter shows zero draw with the key out

I keep my Roadster hooked to a battery tender jr every time I park the bike at home. Even when I'm going to ride it the next day. I was having the same issues as you so I fixed that problem real quick. Got it so I don't have to lift the seat or anything... just park bike and hook it up.

    Front tire issue?

You sir are correct. The Roadster has been sitting a lot here lately just for that very reason...lol State has already sent me a letter.:(

    Front tire issue?

I don't know... they come with the newer "chrome" tire not the old one. Maybe Avon stepped up their quality control on those.

    Front tire issue?

I will not use Avon again. The motorcycle shop that changes tires for me told me that Avon are junk. You get good ones and bad ones. He walked me out to where they depose of old tires and there was Avons out there in new shape. Owners complained of vibration and so had them removed. I was...
