    Looked around Walcha on Google earth. No water (a creek), good looking pub with accommodation. Caravan park … known to be bike friendly. I'm in. Couple of ops on my heart over the past couple of months …. getting better every day. Finally retired …… Terese finishes in five weeks.

    I have used a bicycle bidden mount clamped to my (thunderbar) risers for years. Not in a position to post a photo at the moment. The bidden (water bottle) cage is the right size for the bottles of H2O that are available at service stations. I have never done the camel back stuff …… don't like...

    Progressives in the front and YSS rear. Once dialled in … nothing scientific, just stopping beside the road every now and then, I have found them great. Cant help with a retailer for the US. Aussies should contact RaceTech in Melbourne ….. one man operation who knows his suspension;)

    Worked out my tiredness whilst at RDU. Steadily became more breathless and swollen after getting home …… just came home after a week in Coronary Care …. found myself in bilateral Atrial Fibrillation with a leaky Mitral Valve. Now have lost 5kg in fluid and heart rate chemically lowered, booked...

    Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

    65 bikes in small regional City of Orange NSW. Over half on Historic / Club Rego, I think we raised around $3000AU. We were pretty happy with the morning. Like others, the Rocket didn't fit the bike profile so rode my '80 Yamaha XV1000 (TR1) on club rego. All for a great cause.

    Realising that it’s Rocket rego next week, looked at front tyre and thought it’s close. Went to my mate at local tyre service and asked him to order me a Cobra... got the text it was in so dropped off my f wheel. When I picked it up I thought it looked a little different .... it’s a Cobra Chrome...

    Another +1 for battery .... not enough CCA. Don't skimp on a battery, get the highest CCA that will fit in the hole.

    installation of GPS and utility power

    I use a Garmin Zumo hooked into the (i think) Aux plug circuit in the main harness so it turns on and off with ignition. If its hooked straight to battery it will drain whilst standing. @DEcosse should be the best to advise here. Look at your wiring diagram, GPS doesn't draw enough to put fuses...

    Riding Horrocks Pass has been a secret adventure of mine for a few years now. Whenever I've been in or out of Port "o" Gutter I always go up to Wilmington so I can ride the pass. The last bunch of bikes I rode it with last year messed with my head .... it was easy to run away from a collection...

    Getting Rocket Riders together is like herding Cats. I really hope you get some of them together for what looks like a good ride. East Coast RDU this weekend at Iluka, mid north coast NSW among the bushfires. Maybe we should have a big Rockets Down Under somewhere like Midura Pass or Border town...
