Rear Tire Install Dolly...Making My Life Easier... I Hope!

I appreciate your design because it is something I think I could make. I am wondering if some rails were added length-wise, about 3-4 inches above the base, if that would be enough to hold up the tire/wheel while lining up the shaft? This might make it work a little easier for you?

Rear Tire Install Dolly...Making My Life Easier... I Hope!

This looks good. I take it that the threaded ends of the conveyor rollers are just sitting in the holes in the square tubing? Will this be enough for the tire/wheel to stand up by itself or will you have to hold it up while lowering/raising the lift to get the shaft lined up? Let us know how...

I would be very much interested in this! Any directions you can post on dimensions and how you made would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

    JUST FINISHED REBUILD

Nice Job! Love the paint, chrome valve cover, radiator, and the Rocket III embellishment under the radiator. Did you do any other work to the motor?

    Wow how theRocket Handles

I appreciate all of this info. I know that, when in the rain, I am much more cautious when going through curves. It appears that my fear of losing traction in the rain is maybe a little over blown. Now this does not mean I am going to "hoon it" in the rain, but it does mean I can relax a little...

    Ramair crankcase breather mod

Thanks for this Mad Dog! This link gets me closer to making this a reality. I think this is enough to get this idea on my list of mods.

    Electrical problem

While I am not familiar with the heated grips, if there was a break in the wiring going to the grips from either the ground and/or battery, couldn't they be soldered/shrink wrapped back together?

Welcome from Florida from another R3T rider. Mine is 2014.

What Do I NEED To Know About?

The difference between the R3 and R3T is that the R3T was detuned to spread the torque out across the power band. As was mentioned above, this can be changed by downloading a different tune into the ECU using a windows computer or android phone and TuneECU. The tune is in the Resources portion...

    Crying the MPG blues . . .

Yeah, it was a 2009 with the 1700 motor and belt drive. I bought it in October of 2010 with about 4300 miles on it. It was the same color as yours with the top loading bags. Loved that color combo. I had over 133,000 miles on it when I got the Rocket. Loved that bike. Very reliable. Now love...

I replaced the lights themselves. I went with VisionX led lights. They went into the stock housings.

Welcome from Florida. I agree with the other comments about lowering the suspension. I have a R3T and it drags the floor boards very easily in stock form. If you lower it, that will make it worse. I agree with the comments about using boots with thick soles. This will give you more reach. I use...

    Crying the MPG blues . . .

At this point, I am not thinking about any performance mods. I like the way the bike goes right now. My previous bike was a 2009 Kawasaki Nomad. I had it for 143,000 miles and got an average of 35.5 mpg with it. The R3T blows it away as far as power goes, yet gets about the same mpg. For me it...

Give me an idea when you are passing through and may be we can hook up for a ride. If you will be in the Miami area, the road to Key West will be a beautiful ride for you. A1A which runs along the coast will also be a beautiful ride for you. US-41, Tamiami Trail, through the Everglades is nice...

    Crying the MPG blues . . .

I picked up my 2014 R3T in April of 2018 with 2,777 miles on the odometer. I bought the bike in San Antonio, TX and rode it 1,200 miles back to Florida. I averaged 31.5 mpg with the worst being 24 mpg and the best being 33.6 mpg. This was all on the interstate traveling 80-85 mph. At one point I...

    Ramair crankcase breather mod

Thanks Rob for the detailed explanation. The crossover pipe of the touring is after the collector if I am remembering correctly. Would that be a good place to tie-in to? If I can find someone who can weld, I can give that a try.
