    Lean, rich, or just right?

Hanso, you are the man! I wish I knew as much as you about all this, but I don't think I would understand it. Do you know if any attempts have been made to make a PCV map on a per cylinder or per cylinder and gear basis? Similar to what the stock Triumph map is? The PCV certainly seems...

    Lean, rich, or just right?

When you say 1500 on down, I am assuming you mean to 500 RPM, not the bottom of the page and 7000 RPM? You sent me your map, and while I haven't had any problems with it, the idle area has always concerned me as I haven't gotten a cable to run Tune ECU and load a new base map. Thanks again...

    So what's up with this?

Looks like it just bushing to keep things lined up and not rubbing each other. Press it back up inside. If it stays you are golden. If not, maybe help it with a little RTV. I wouldn't take things apart for that to get replaced. Make it stay up there!

    09 R3T Trunk option

Does the backrest on the luggage rack bolt on, or are you guys cutting it off? I really want to do something like this but don't want to destroy the original parts to do it. Thanx!

    Miss fire

I have never heard of any problems with the 08 and 09's misfiring. I have had my 08 now for 3 years and never had a problem like that. Best of luck!

    Speedo memory lost

When the gauge cluster in my car was repla ed the master odometer in the new was zero. The dealer recorded the actual mileage from the old master odometer and put a decal with that distance on the door jam. I should think that they can do similar for a motorcycle. If not, you've got a...

    R3 Touring Pipes

Ok, I was going to drill my TORS out and when I got all the extensions and such together and looked up in there, there wasn't anything to drill. Just straight through to the front bends in the pipes. Been thinking I may pour a couple quarts of water in them and go for a nice long ride to...

    R3 Touring Pipes

That crossover box is likely being used as a resonator. Cars use several of them in the exhaust to help quite things down. If one were to remove the crossover and replace it with pipe (something I would like to do) it should get you a little more sound out the back.

    R3 Touring Pipes

This has been discussed either here or at the .com site some time ago. It was said that the cats are in fact in the standard exhaust for the touring model. I am not sure if someone cut open a set of pipes or what, but I was assured in the thread that the collector under the bike was most...

    Who is the Oldest Rider

I am 35, been riding since I was about 18. Just a drop in the bucket compared to some of you. My Dad is 67, and while not a R3 rider he has been on motorcycles since he had a Honda super 90. That was mid 60's I think. He is currently commanding two Goldwings; a 1500 and a 1100 with sidecar.

    Funny thing?

Now install the Firefox add on called no script. Wonderful little add on that allows you to pick and choose which scripts a page will be allowed to run. Keeps your machine a little safer once you learn how to use it, and it can help with page load speeds.

    HELP :Ticking sound from engine

You may be hearing the valves tick. Some engines do, some don't; that's my experience anyway. I wouldn't worry about it. When I got my R3T, I mentioned it and the dealer said that is a normal Triumph sound. That said, I never heard them in my Sprint or an old Honda CX500 I had. My Honda 650...

    PCV with Autotune Question

What mods have you done to your R3T? I have trip K&Na and TORS installed, as well as the PCV w/Autotune. I am running the PCV map Hanso made and it seems to be working fine. It does seem to be adjusting for a lot more fuel in the low range; but it is doing what it should so I can't argue...

    Pcv/auto tune decel popping

I would have to look again to be certain, but I believe that at the zero percent throttle all the values are zero and PCV/Autotune won't adjust that area. That is where the map installed to the ECU comes into play. I could be wrong though. Hanso is pretty up to speed on the PCV/Autotune...

    Oil drop

I believe that is the speed sensor. Under engine and behind kickstand. At least that is what it is on my R3T.

    Towing

Engine braking will help slow you quicker in a panic and prevent the back tire from locking up. My dad has towed pop-up campers with his goldwings as well as cargo trailers. He has even towed his utility trailer with the wi.g. he hauled household stuff on it to his storage unit. Never...

Advice on DMC hitches. Good or Bad?

I mounted a Bushmaster to my R3T. Expensive, yes, but I think it was built to pull a semi trailer. Mounted up no problems and is very well hidden. If they have a model for you Rocket I highly recommend it.
