Maybe you don't think it "holds water", but use your own logic and call any motorcycle company engineer and ask if it's safe to more than double the HP in any given motorcycle. I guessing their answer is going to be no. Motorcycles are engineered to withstand a certain amount of HP and torque...
We have had this discussion before. It's just hard for me to take serious safety advice about some who considers ct's to be so dangerous, yet is perfectly fine with owning and riding a modified motorcycle making a hundred hp more than a stock version. And calling you nuts for using a car tire.
Don't be a d!ck and I won't be nuts. What I can afford and what I choose to spend my money on is up to me. You are the one who said spend the extra 40$ for a tire. So put up or shut up. I've been riding on a CT for over 15 years. I have never had a problem. I know all the warnings and choose to...
If you wanted to pickup a Ramair filter for your beast. I could send you a map from my bike that was dynoed with straight thru, free flowing exhaust and the ramair filter.
You are very lucky and quick thinking to get low. A friend of mine had a buzzard hop out of a ditch and takeoff directly into his harley windshield. He lost control, slid into the path of an oncoming pickup truck and lost a leg. Luckily he was not hurt any worse than he was. Do you have a bell?
It was a long time, but it was also the first time he had seen tuneecu. First time using it. First look at a rocket3. Etc. He did do some research and called Bob Carpenter for some pointers before I got there.
If Alabama isn't too far, I had Stedman Motorsports in Moulton Al. dyno mine. He used my pc and cable. But stayed on it for about 4 hrs. for a very decent price. Nice guy that builds custom components and bikes for drag racing.

I put one of these in my shop. I check it every couple weeks to empty and freshen up pb once a month or so. Goofy but effective.
I'm sorry but I'm having problems posting pics from my phone.
What I would do differently :
Been more careful clearing the insides of the pipes.
Tried a straight thru pipe at least 2 inch.
Gotten a better welder than I to weld it back up.
If you want to send me a pm with your phone number...
Stock can be completely gutted and rebuilt with new straight thru pipe or with a cone as I did. It was so loud I made baffles that got the sound reasonable and sounds great also. (in my opinion) I also painted matte black with hi temp ceramic paint. So far so good. It is a big job to do. I cut...
It wasn't , I rode with my brother in law and his boys in a pu truck. Won't make that mistake again. Took an hour to ride the bus, to the shuttle, to get to the lawn on turn 2. Mostly sat under a tree watching the races all day.
