So it’s really hard to determine exactly what the factory designed mpg riding range of a full fuel tank is. I get the adaptive fuel usage calculations as individual riders travel under variable situations affecting fuel consumption.
I appreciate all of your input to my question. I thought the fuel range meter was a constant repeatable value solely based on fuel level and not riding habits.
In my car the fuel range display always returns to the same value say 325 miles to empty with every fill up.
Thanks, Jag. I was attempting to calculate true mileage on a full tank. TORS with matching tune and under the seat OEM air filtration exists. It’s apparently clear, based on what other riders experience, that 25-30 mpg @ 150 miles full tank range is about average.
Could be a malfunctioning fuel level sensor. The needle on the fuel gauge doesn’t appear to be all the way over to the right where the pins are located.
I’m attempting to quantify the factory spec of fuel tank range. The fuel gage is presently indicating 150 miles on a full tank (6 gallons) with mileage @ 25 m/g. I recall that the digital display once indicated 175-180 mile range with a full tank. Any suggestions or recommendations ?

Glad to see that your recovery is coming along with no major orthopedic setbacks. You’ll be gripping the throttle soon enough. Enjoy the Christmas holiday with family and friends, wear a mask and social distance.
