    Lash caps after cam mod

Thanks Pedro, I might just have to source make to order shims. One great advantage of buying from Australia is low shipping cost and surprisingly decent shipping time

    Lash caps after cam mod

Hi, stock head. Yes 25mm shims are used. But difficult to find 25mm shims above 3.50 mm thicknesses

    Lash caps after cam mod

Clearance example: measured 0.93 on a 2.80 shim. Set target clearance (intake) at 0.13 -> need 3.60 shim I bent my 0.63 feeler to a suitable radius. The 0.30 feeler on top flexed well enough. That said, I might be slightly off. Have never measured this much clearance before. But will mention...

    Lash caps after cam mod

No takers I guess. I have ordered lash caps and a valve removal tool and will know in a few days anyway. And will post the result here on the off chance someone needs to reduce clearance beyond available shims capacity

    Lash caps after cam mod

Hi, after street/FA cam mod I need up to 3.63 mm intake shims, which seems difficult to source. I can get lash caps, but I cannot find any post confirming this is a viable option. Q1: Lash caps - viable option? Q2: I measure the top of the valve stem (valves are not out yet, waiting for proper...

Valve adjustment with pistons & head out?

Can I adjust valves while waiting for the forged pistons to arrive? Head is necessarily not fitted yet, but plan is fitting the street cams, ladder torqued to spec then measure gap and order shims: Should work OK or not?

Turbo upgrade - "Budget" no longer applicable

Yes, probably old stock. Short lead time and not too pricy either. I guess Triumph are obliged to serve Roadster aftermarket another 3 years though. Was worried I had to upgrade to Roadster transmission. That would have been painful for the piggy bank.

Turbo upgrade - "Budget" no longer applicable

New driveshaft and auxillaries arrived. After applying generous amounts of Honda OEM M77 molbyden on the splines, I braced myself to my first attempt at mating the final drive and the shaft. I picked up a tip earlier somewhere in this forum using a piece of plastic and a string. This is my...

Turbo upgrade - "Budget" no longer applicable

Thanks @TURBO200R4 that info AND your experienced eye helped a lot, so very much appreciated! Not a hard decision though. I do not want to end up having to source a new final drive.. Ordered a new driveshaft + the special OEM socket to loosen the swing arm nut, new wheel rubber cushings and...

Turbo upgrade - "Budget" no longer applicable

@TURBO200R4 I'm afraid you were spot on on the wear, could you take a look at the cleaner version below? I'm just in disbelief..If worn down, how is it even possible to wear out the drive shaft splines in 38.000 km? It's been "jerky" if you don't know how to ride it since I bought it from the...

I have cleaned of course. Waiting for the solvent to evaporate before applying the molbyden paste. I guess the picture lies as the splines are OK. Which should be no surprise considering only 38.000 km very gentle mileage.
