  1. Just got back from my first test ride ..... OMG!

Hi A1A Rider, Yes, I knew the spec differences. I've done a lot of research 🙂. I sat on the GT while I was there. Couldn't fault either. I think the GT had it comfort wise, although I prefer the more aggressive stance of the R. Either way it's definitely mids for me. Nice mods on yours...
  2. Just got back from my first test ride ..... OMG!

Took a new Storm R from Triumph West London out. Everything I was expecting and more!! Best bike I've ever ridden by a country mile! The comfort, fit and finish, but most of all that engine . I did't want to give it back lol. They're £4k off at the moment. Problem is that's still a huge...
  3. Researching a Rocket 3 purchase

Thanks for your insight. As you say, I don't think I could go wrong with either model. BTW, I too have the Shoei GT Air 2.
  4. Researching a Rocket 3 purchase

I have. I’ll definitely take it up to him.
  5. Researching a Rocket 3 purchase

Good shout Jagster. I'll get configuring to see the prices. Although, I'm not in the market for a new one, as I don't like the look of the blacked out Storms, not to mention the prices.
  6. Researching a Rocket 3 purchase

Thanks Atomsplitter. You are of course right. I meant back rest! Sounds like it's still the 'R'. You're right, the quick shifter may be overkill for the bike. It's easy to get carried away on Youtube. Just been watching the TTS super charged version lol. Thanks for our input.
  7. Researching a Rocket 3 purchase

Looking for a 2022/23 Rocket. Not sure wether to go with the R or GT, I'd appreciate your input guys and gals. Don't do lots of miles 2k a year normally. I don't tour and rarely take the Mrs on the back. To me that's an R all day long. However, you get more for your money with the GT and the...
  8. Remap in the Slough area

Thanks Jagster. He was my next option if no one else was nearer.
  9. Remap in the Slough area

Hi, Looking to purchase a Rocket 3 R circa 2023/24 and I was wondering if there's anywhere recommended in my area or the south east for getting the bike mapped/derestricted. I tried PDQ as they're only down the road, buy their Woolwich software only works on pre 2022 models due to emissions.
  10. Introduction

Thanks Kiwicol. I’m not a fan of the blacked out Storms, so it sounds like a win, win with the previous gen. Sounds like the remap would bring the performance more in line with the Deavil.
  11. Introduction

Thank you for a great insight Atomspliter. Liberating the 30 extra horses sounds amazing.
  12. New member introduction

Hi, Good start! Sorry, I’ve just seen the thread for newbie’s! Just wanted to introduce myself. Don't shoot me . . . but I've been a Harley rider for 18 years now. Previously, many Jap bikes, my last and favourite was my Eddie Lawson rep ZRX1200R (god I miss that bike!). I've loved Rocket 3's...

Hi, Just wanted to introduce myself. Don't shoot me . . . but I've been a Harley rider for 18 years now. Previously, many Jap bikes, my last and favourite was my Eddie Lawson rep ZRX1200R (god I miss that bike!). I've loved Rocket 3's since they first came out, however, once you're in Harley's...
