  1. Flipmeister's Paddock Stand

Just go down to the local hardware store and get a 1" dia. black pipe three feet long and use that over the breaker bar. The hardest part is doing it the first time. Just go by the directions and you'll be fine.
  2. Flipmeister's Paddock Stand

Mine is a 2009 and I had to drill the holes. Also when I drilled the holes I stepped up the drills, another words I started with a smaller drill and worked up. If you try drilling it with the 1/2" drill first it will just bind up and snap.
  3. Changing front fork springs?

Yes you can do it without removing the forks and no special tools. It would be easier if you can do it with the weight of the front if possible, I use a paddock stand from Flipmeisters, and be sure to lay a nice soft thick blanket over the tank to lay the handle bars on. I don't think it took me...
  4. Changing front fork springs?

Changed mine a few weeks ago. The hardest part was to use a magnet with a long extension to fish the washer and old spring out which was no big deal. Just make sure you install the new Progressive springs the right way according to the directions.
  5. D&D's for R3T

Well I went to the dealer yesterday for the 20235 tune TORS down load and he said that the factory does not use that one any more and he down loaded a new version. Any ways so far so good. I'll run it for now and think about either the Tuneboy or PC in the future.
  6. D&D's for R3T

Thanks Harry that was a big help. I'll talk to the dealer about it and see what he says and maybe I'll add a Power Commander. When I talk to him about a Power Commander, he recommend that I do the pipes and filter first with the download and if there was any backfiring then he would do the Power...
  7. D&D's for R3T

Then why does D&D recommend the download after they did the R&D on their own dyno? Makes no sense that they would recommend something that would give less performance. Might as well keep it the way it is with just the pipes, air filter, and no download.
  8. D&D's for R3T

That's good to hear as I just installed my D&D's with the K&N filter yesterday and took it out for a short spin. I got quite the reaction when I stopped for gas and people looked over when I started the motor. They probably thought it was just another HD and was waiting for the familiar sound...
  9. New Pipes

So it looks like I'll be going with the D&D pipes.
  10. New Pipes

Well i tried te order a set of Raask but I'm getting a little fustrated explaining to Ed what I want. He has a set of these that he is trying to sell me: instead of these:
  11. New Pipes

I agree but they are hard to find VS. the D&D. The other thing about D&D is they tested there pipes on a R3T not sure about the Raask.
  12. New Pipes

Did you use the Triumph download? Also I understand that the Raask uses fiberglass around the baffles and I'm wondering if that changes the tune after time when the glass starts to wear down?
  13. New Pipes

Well that brings me to my next question. Should I go with slip on's that use the old link pipe with the box, like the TORS and D&D, or go with a slip on like the Rassk that uses a strait walled pipe? Going back to my old days when I was into cars and headers seems the Raask system would be better.
  14. New Pipes

Thanks GPMAZ, that why I like this web site! :D Wonder why they just didn't use strait pipes? I saw pictures of the Raask slip on pipes and they had a pipe that replaces the box.
  15. New Pipes

Forgive my ignorance but how can the catalytic converter be in the pipes? I thought the box after the headers and before the pipes was the cat?
