    Clutch gone after 2 months......

Sorry if I've frustrated you, hopefully you can work past that and share your thoughts. Seriously, I'm here to learn.

    Clutch gone after 2 months......

No sir, I'm not saying there should be more electronic intervention, I assumed Triumph already does the auto blip on down shift like many other less expensive bikes do, and by the computer increasing the auto blip rpm they could arrive at the same fix. Also, just my opinion, but I don't see why...

    Clutch gone after 2 months......

Under the topic of amateur armchair engineering, I have to question Triumph's decision to go this way. The 2020 makes similar torque to the older Rockets and IMO the clutch lever effort is minimal on them (I've had two). So Triumph goes hydraulic on the actuation and still says they left out...

Thank you, I wondered if that could be the case.

    Clutch gone after 2 months......

I think we need a tongue in cheek emoji. :) Shutting down fuel and/or spark is how I think it works too, I'm honestly asking for someone to explain to me Triumph's position on how trying to lay rubber with TC on demolished the clutch on Rock Ape's bike and apparently a few others, 'cause so far...

    Clutch gone after 2 months......

Ok, I can see that. I assume every time the TC kicks in the computer shocks the monkey in the ass, causing him to pull the lever and partially release the clutch. So riddle me this, Batman, if actuating TC is hard on the clutch, does that mean owners should limit how often they activate it...

    Clutch gone after 2 months......

Ok, I've not finished my morning coffee yet, but can somebody here explain to a dumbass (me) how TC being enabled takes out a clutch? I thought traction control would lower power by cutting fuel and/or spark and maybe changing ignition timing. How does the clutch get involved?

Well, this does suck, sorry, Rock Ape! Did anyone find reference to Press Day fried clutches on any of the many reviews?

    Downside of New Model

I doubt very much you will ever see much aftermarket for this bike because IMO it's unlikely to sell in big numbers. Triumph made the first Rockets for 15 model years with very few changes and there's not a ton of aftermarket for them. Some of the early adapters like Rivco and Jardine later...

I was wondering the same - master or slave cylinder for the hydraulic clutch, they do fail.

What did you do to your Rocket today?

Turned over 40K miles on my 2010 Roadie bought 5/24/10. Not a lot of miles, but in my defense I have 4 other bikes and for a while there my '09 DR650 was my go to travel bike. Starter relay went at 1K miles because, as it turns out, mine was a very early Roadster that didn't have the updated...

Dyno Battle: Harley-Davidson Road King 131 vs. Triumph Rocket 3

Man, I have a hard time listening to that guy. What surprised me most about that vlog is his claim the RK rides and handles better than his Rocket.

    Throttle lock?

For years now I've been using the stock bar end weights as a throttle lock on my Rocket(s). I Gorilla Glue the allen screw and pieces together so that turning the bar end weight turns the screw into or out of the bar end. Add a rubber washer, or in my case a SuperGlide front wheel seal between...
