    I change the final drive oil every time I change the engine oil, which is once a year, for the amount of oil it takes and the time it takes, why not?

    im still not clear on the vin # on the frame not matching the sin # on the engine, the vin# on the frame is SMTC00L475J209234. the sin# on the engine is C00L45210149. It was the source of great confusion when I had to get the bike appraised for the insurance. what I do know is I picked my bike...

    Interestingly enough, of the top 10 most dangerous roads in the world 3 are in the US. Red Mountain pass, The Tail of the Dragon and The Moki Dugway. I’ve had the pleasure of riding all 3.

    I used the motul in my final drive, have for many years also. No issues. I usually change the drive oil when I do the engine oil.

    The only fault I’ve seen people have that is specific to oil is....they had none in the engine!

    I use the 15w50 motul. Have used it for years,,,there are a lot of good lubricants out there as noted in these replies. The key for me is to change oil frequently and it shouldn’t matter which one you pick.
