    Help me decide !

I'll for sure consider a used one if the right one pops up when I'm ready to buy - I do like the idea of having one brand new off the show room floor - heck, I can't remember the last of anything I bought new and the 2 year warranty would be really nice !

    Help me decide !

Thanks again - that clears that up - I really like the two tone paint jobs - very classy looking. I have looked pretty hard at the TB's and like it a lot, but I'm still leaning more toward the R3 at this point - that could all change in the next couple of months. If I had the money in hand...

    Help me decide !

I've not seen a thread with some many different ways of saying pretty much the same thing. I hear you, but you know how us wannabees are -- but soon I'll just be a newbie instead. I do like the forward feel of the SM - but I'm thinking with the engine guard and highway pegs , I could still...

    Help me decide !

Great - that's exactly what I was hoping to hear -- I'm not as much concerned about the weight as I was about the unpredictable power and having it get away from me in a hurry. But as long as it's a deliberate twist of the throttle - I'm good with that. I was leaning really hard toward the...

    Help me decide !

You guys are scaring the S __ __ T our of me ! You guys are scaring the S __ __ T out of me talking about all the darn weight and power of the R3 -- I'm pretty sure I want to get one. I'm a careful guy now - wasn't always the case. Back in my high school and teenage years I had all kinds of...

    Help me decide !

I have the only Triumph in the small town I live in as well - however, my Speedmaster is NOT a chick magnet - old farts like me love it however

    Help me decide !

Guess I'll just have to do the same. Coming from the Speedmaster and having my feet out in the forward more cruiser position, I'm hoping the Roadster doesn't feel to straight downward for me, but then adding the engine guard with highway pegs would cure that instantly. I've already had an...

    Help me decide !

I plan on riding over the dealer this week and taking a closer and better look at the R3 and the TB -- I know he had a couple of TB's and at least 1 R3 - I"m pretty sure the Rocket was the Touring edition. One thing I"m reading is the difference in the HP between the 2 - that's quite shocking to...

    Help me decide !

Even though I'd love to buy a new bike tomorrow - guess I should feel lucky that I have a few more months to make up my mind. Lots of great information here - thanks folks !

Sounds like you've made some awesome trips -- and just riding without worries would be the perfect frame of mind.

    Help me decide !

WOW - now that would be a great setup - my son and I sort of have the same deal going on - only I bought a Speedmaster and he bought a Honda 750 Shadow -- his Honda is perfect for him and he prefers it over my Triumph - that would be ultra cool if we had the TB and R3's ! Yep, that extended...

    Help me decide !

I appreciate all the comments and suggestions. I still have a couple of months before I'll have the funds available to make a purchase. Sounds like the R3 is a great bike with a very loyal following. That says a lot. Regards !

    Help me decide !

That doesn't sound very good - the last thing I'd want is to sink all that cash into a bike, then start having immediate issues -- I hear you about not flogging your bike and I'm to very anal about upkeep and keeping them clean !

    Help me decide !

On rare occasions I make it to the Out Post ( a bit to rough around the edges for me ) - I usually ride by myself and on occasion with my son -- I like the place at Red Bay between Bruce and Vortex Springs - neat little hangout ! I've yet to do one of the rides with D & D - but hope to soon ...

    Help me decide !

I know what you mean - you're taller and heavier than me, BUT when I sat on the TB it seemed so much smaller than my SM - no doubt it's a bigger bike. Hopefully I can get test rides on both the R3 and TB and then decide ! I do hear great stuff from TB owners and all the reviews I've read are...
