    Thanks for your input and advice. If I had the tune kit input device for R3 I'd try to lower the fan to come on at lower temps, but don't have the kit to do that. Is there a manual way of doing that? Without a CPU plug in device?

I know there is a bleed screw above the thermo housing to let air out when adding coolant, but I’m guessing you don’t mean that one.     Thermostat? I guess that tells the fan when to come on and off, but fan is working as it should so does that mean thermo is working okay. I am grasping at straws to stop why its heating up so much.
