Been riding for many years an assortment of bikes, first bike was a BSA THUNDERBOLT A65 I had that for several years while I was building my first Triumph chopper 1969 Bonny in a custom frame many home built extras manufactured by myself and a friend, including custom oil tank fuel tank raked frame custom exhaust pipes, also had extended forks 16" back wheel not home manufactured. I had another triumph after that one, just a stock 71 bonny sold that when I got married and had the little ones. I was about 15 yrs later that I bought my next bike Yamaha 650 special I couldnt afford a British or American bike so had to be satisfied with that, it was ok very similar to my old triumphs I thought. Bought another couple of them and had them for a while then another break for about a year in that time marriage broke up thats when I bought my first Harley, a 1986 FXR Lowrider!!! I was so happy that I had finally managed to get the bike I had always wanted when some low life stole it after only 6 months worth of pleasure only thing that was left of the bike was the seat as it had been removed to charge the battery overnight. After insurance payed out I started building my own FXR from accumilated parts from local shops private sales and a contact of a bike aftermarket parts store in America. I still have that bike to this day its been rebuilt a couple of times for asthetic purposes the motor and gearbox are still from from the original build with no work except for a change of the ignition module in the most recent build, (not bad seeing as it has been 19yrs since that build) more chrome the first time more black the second and it still has the original seat that was left from the stolen bike. I bought a 2006 Fatboy had it for about 18 months then got the Rocket bug, there was one for sale locally and I managed to sell my Fatboy quickly and bought the Rocket. Its an MY14 Roadster It already had a few things done to it Staintune pipes, progressive fork springs, hyperpro rear shocks, tuneboy filters and now a Powercomander 5 and a different seat thats a bit lower for me. Im happy with the ride, power and handling of the Rocket and with the new seat, my seating position too. Im in Rockingham so happy to hear from any other Rocketeers in the Perth or surrounding areas
