    '08 Touring Saddlebag Lids Will Not Open

    I got mine working by squinting WD-40 in latch and worked it back and forth. Then some three in one oil and they work much better. Took about a half hour or so.

    I have an 08 as well. Right side is hard to open but has so far. I've tried to adjust to no avail. I hope you find the problem.

    When I started running backhoes many years ago my grizzled old guy that taught me said they are either all the way on or off. You have better control of the hydraulics if running correctly and tear out less stuff.

    Recommendation for blind spot mirrors for R3T

    I use small wedge mirrors I get at auto parts store. I did change my mirrors to the oval drilled stem Triumph mirrors. I like them better than the stock Mickey mouse mirrors.

    I would love to have a sixth gear. I keep trying to shift into it enough. However I've been doing that on every bike I've had for the last 40 year's or so. If I had a sixth gear I would probably try to shift into seventh gear as well.

    No it doesn't cover access to Allen screws to change oil. It makes leveling and supporting the bike much easier so you can work on it. Someone else attached pictures or else I would. I don't have a shop or lift all my maintenance is done outside. The jbq is another tool in the box.
