    Non-starter after winter lay-up

    Starter solenoid kit (flea bay, £13.50) arrived this morning. Fitted it this afternoon and it fired up. I hadn’t refitted exhaust when I tested it. My ears are still ringing. Thanks again for the top tips.

    I turn on the ignition, dials sweep, press the starter and it clicks (once) but does not crank. As long as the ignition is on I can hear what sounds like some kind of pump or motorised valve trying to work.     Tank Bib(Bra) wanted

    Got one that came with my 07 Classic (the cream and blue, not silver and blue model). Used it for a while but took it off. No scratches, but I did keep wiping off any dust that got under it. The pouch was useful for earplug storage, but not much else! It's sitting in my shed... a long way from Oz.
