    Thanks for all the replies. It seems that those that have actually used the me888’s have liked them just fine. The earlier 880’s seemed to sour peoples opinion on the Metzeler for power bikes. The Avons have been nice and sticky for me, just wearing out fast. And I don’t ride it aggressively...

    That’s way I’m leaning. Just 7k out of a tire isn’t great. $900 every spring adds up.

    Ok it’s officially time to get the new tires. Last chance for anyone to weigh in. Metzeler me888 marathon ultra vs Avon cobra chrome’s? 70% highway, 10% twisties, 20% in town. When in the mountains I do like to hit the curves. Not to the foot pegs hard (very often) but fairly aggressive

    The me888 did not even come out until 2013. It also has went through a few changes as well. Supposed to be a far superior tire to the 880, which I what you would have had.

    Good to hear. That was my main concern. I was told they would wear longer by Triumph staff as well. Something to consider

    That’s about what he quoted me here in Colorado at the triumph dealership for just the tire. I will shop it at the next closest dealer in Denver. My quote was Ft Collins
