  1. Transmition

    Mine was like that and worse when hot. The downshift to second was also horrible. Rode it like that until it jumped out of second a couple of time under hard acceleration then had it fixed.

    Mine does it. Try pulling in on the clutch until you start to feel pressure. I bet it will go away. Every late model Triumph I have owned has done this.

    I don't have a pic handy, but it would be the two bolts that secure the tensioner to the head.

    IIRC they are not adjustable. I think they are of the spring and ratchet type. If so on many bikes when the tensioner is between teeth you will get a little rattle. We used to back one bolt out and slowly loosen the other until a click is heard. That means that the plunger has lengthened one...
